Am I missing something with online play? I've got the premium system, I've bought Call of Duty2 and I want to play online. I've created the xbox live account and it says I have a month of Gold membership freebee. Now to play online, do I have to buy points or something? What else is needed or what is the procedure. From call of duty, I can select multiplayer, then join game, I select something (deatmatch for example) then it says I can't proceed or something. What am I doing wrong?

Well, the problem just seemed to be a connection glitch--sorry for the post. Although my saved game data on another profile seems to have been wiped out (for the second time).

Just a heads up...XBL is amazing, but COD2 is a very poor game on XBL, a great game, but not on XBL...lots of lag, and a poor lobby set up really hurt this game online.

I have a great 6mb down and 1mb up internet service and the lag on this game(cod2) is still crap. the game online is unplayable! but PDZ's online runs so smooth
