When I phoned in to add the FYI package, I was told all packages were increasing Feb 1. $1 for Digital Favourites, $2.50 for Platinum +. Didn't ask about the rest

I just have Gold Choice. I got rid of the Movie Network since it was the same old movies over and over and I wasn't watching them. I tallied how many I watched, and I might watch 1 every 2 months. I would be better off just renting a DVD or using PPV when I want a movie.

It looks like most of the increases are with the "plus" packages, eithr MC or TMN which is discounted when added to those packages.
Maybe MC and TMN are wanting more kick back per subscriber.
Since I don't subscribe to the movie packages if won't effect me at all.

Silver +$1

Yes, got my prorated bill today.
But, I spent some time checking out comparable services on Bell and Cogeco tonight and *C by far gives the best value.
And, as for the competition offerings of HD channels, I believe *C wins again.

...In response to this I cancelled RaptorsTv to save a buck+tax

....Our new bill will be $73.98+ tax....Platinum Choice Plus+ MSNBC

....MSNBC is worth a buck. We watch MSNBC more than CNN or FOX News...As an example Mrs. Q likes to watch+listen to IMUS in the Morning.....I like Hardball with Chris Matthews

You are absolutely correct here. I reviewed the notice and I am happy to say that my sub isn't going to increase. I am very happy with the switch from cable to *C and would have a difficult time going back. Now if they only put that increase money into resolving the HD receiver issues.....
