well I guess the Boston Bruin fans should be happy... lol

lol... I guess it's better than nothing but pretty sad compared to the BEV offering. The Bruins are not really all that exciting to watch. I guess NESN isn't charging much for their HD programming.

By the time most of those Bruins games are on after the new year they will be toiling for last place in the east.

I honestly don't understand why you guys are so negative.

IMHO, This is great news, more HD! Considering only 4.4% of Rogers customers have HD, the amount of HD programming is phenomenal.

I'll give Rogers a big thumbs up. (and I will give BEV the thumbs up for making a similar announcement today!)

There are lots of HD games available that do not involve the Bruins. I don't see why they couldn't provide some of those like BEV is doing. Sure some (or all of the) Bruins games in HD is better than no games in HD but I don't understand why they don't match Bell.

I'm confused, this schedule must not be complete.. they have a few games from HD net then most appear to be from NESN. Perhaps the contract for HD.NET is still on a game by game basis (still working it out) while they signed w/ NESN for the remainder of the season.

Looking @ it further, all games before jan are from HDNET and then jan being all boston appears to be from NESN.

ODD.

More of any tv content is better. It results in competition and wider selection for all. If Cogeco had HD sports as part of their sports package, I would get it.

Would someone be so kind as to look at my Digital Home FAQ on "Rogers HD offering" and supply me with the 5 channels I'm missing so I can add the information to the FAQ... Thanks.

Man I wish the Sens haddn't played their boston games all before this came online.. :(

I'll have to check with Rogers to see if the schedule is incomplete or not.. HD.net does do a nice job, I'd welcome them to my TV any day..

As all of you enjoy your 31 HD channels, please feel for us Shaw costomers.

As of today(friday, dec. 9) they have added a 10th HD channel, in partial areas of the Shaw territory.

CTV HD...im jumping off the walls.

Congrats!

Ouch... Not that I watch more than 10 channels they still have to be the right 10 channels..

Nope I'm very glad to see Rogers stepping up the HD Sports.. I mean this is what I got the tv for in the first place..

Thanks for posting and this is good news as I see it. More HD hockey is what we asked for and we got it. I am sure in time there will be more offerings of teams. I honestly thought that it would all be the avalanche but who would have thought Boston? I am glad as they are at least an east cost feed team.

This is good news! I'm sure this is only the beginning.... kudos to Rogers for making the effort.

The quality of the hockey games on HDNet is astounding!

I've got the following (5 "additional" channels the rest are simply remaps):

476 - HSP1 (Same as Global - 515)
477 - HSP2 (Same as FoxE - 531)
478 - HSP3 (Fox Detroit)
479 - HSP4 (Same as FoxW - 526)
480 - HSP5 (Same as CBSE - 528)
481 - HSP6 (CBS Detroit)
482 - HSP7 (Same as CBSW - 534)
483 - HSP8 (NCAA, NHL, MLB)
484 - HSP9 (NCAA, NHL, MLB)
485 - HSP10 (NCAA, NHL, MLB)

I've added these to the Rogers FAQ.

Anyone checked the diagnostics to see if the 31 HD channels still have 2 channels per QAM?

This may be a dumb question but to see the HD hockey games do you need to subscribe to the Super Sports Pack, or can you get by with Centre Ice...which costs less.

Center Ice costs less? If it does it can't be by much. 6 months of the Sports pack (which would cover the NHL season) works out to $27 * 6 or $162. Many people like me also get a 10% or 15% discount off of that for being on their VIP or bundle.

Thats not right.
Super Sports Pack = $27.95 month
NHL Centre Ice (standalone) = $29.95 month

I am looking at my bill in front of me. It is $26.95 per month before discounts for the Super Sports Pack.

NHL Center Ice by itself is $199.95 for the year. It is pointless to pay the $199 since you are paying more and getting a lot less.

Supersports pak cost $29 including a terminal right now and $25 without.. Plus if you bundle you can save another 15%.. Centerice costs $29 I thought so really supersports pak costs the same and you get more!
