: Tis the Season: What's your favourite Christmas Movie?
Tis the season, so what's your favourite Christmas movie.
For the classics, mine would be the 1954? version of Christmas Carol with Alistair Sims.
More modern, maybe Elf although I do like Die Hard and Gremlins which both take place at Christmas time!
gfong 2005-12-08, 05:40 PM The original "It's a wonderful life"
Loosehead 2005-12-08, 05:42 PM Christmas Vacation or Charlie Brown Christmas (not a movie but holiday staple!)
ego1138 2005-12-08, 05:43 PM Die Hard
C'mon. It takes place at Christmas . . . IT SHOULD COUNT! :)
Robobob 2005-12-08, 05:46 PM A Christmas Story (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/). I'm hoping it'll be on in HD before Christmas but haven't seen it listed yet.

JesseJ 2005-12-09, 12:35 AM Out of these choices, it's Elf. Overall, I loved the Jim Carrey Grinch. A Christmas Story is very very funny. Polar Express is also good.
The Ref.

I also like to tune in to Leary singing "I'm an A$$hole" on MuchMoreRetro.
OK, I'm twisted and I admit it.
Bad Santa... Billy Bob makes me howl! I also love X-mas Vacation... watch it every year.
Proteosome 2005-12-09, 09:40 AM Christmas vacation and both cartoon and Jim Carrey Grinch movies.
dawtcalm 2005-12-09, 10:04 AM The made-in-Canada "Christmas Story", did you know you can buy action figures?

JesseJ 2005-12-09, 12:52 PM Its a Wonderful Life is a classic in my books, same with Holiday Inn.
Home Alone is also a great Christmas movie. The first one was excellent.
Pornstar Choice 2005-12-09, 07:51 PM "You'll shoot your eye out"
Got to be a A Christmas Story.....the Asian waiters at the end singing Jingle Bells is priceless!
Bud Bray 2005-12-10, 09:08 PM Christmas Story for sure but you haven't listed SCROOGE, the musical with Albert Finney and Alec Guinness as the ghost of Marley. Just got it on DVD.
"Thank you very much!..."
I like the old musicals and what would Christmas be without a "White Christmas"?
