Does anyone elese have this problem

each time watch hockey game on Roger sportnet pacific channel i here
radio for 911 centre.

what is causing this problem it only happen in my room plus have shaw high speed internet and two way spilter

tv name= general electroic
regal spliter model number D52DGH10 2 WAY
FOR HEAD VCR TOSHIBA W-522C

all the other tv & digital cable work fine.

Also to mention is that in Mission, BC - Rogers Sportsnet Pacific is located on Analog Channel 22

Maybe its ingress on the signal?

911 eh?
That would be hard to do. Unless Rogers is simulcasting on the radio, then it would be almost impossible to pick up a radio signal unless you have bunny ears.

my channel 22 is screwed up too...i wanted to watch the canucks game but maybe ctv hd set shaw over the bandwidth edge....btw im in east vancouver

edit: looks like its ok on the pvr but direct into the tv its messed up. i am splitting the cable once into pvr and tv. too bad the analog quality is SO terrible with sportsnet 22 going through the pvr...

I have a related question. Here in Vancouver area we get SNet Pacific only on analaog 22 but we get the others on digital. In Calgary for example do you get SNet West only on analog or do you get it also on digital. Basically I'm asking why we don't get SNet Pacific in digital like we do the rest of the SNet channels.

So the dinosaurs can watch Canucks games without a box.

Do you think the picture quality would be better digital? I think some of the analogs look as good or better then the digital.

it only on my tv in my room that here 911 singal

we have

1 tv downstair in bedrom
1 tv in living room hook up digital cable
1 tv in myroom but also have internet hookup in my room too
1 tv in brother room

we have total of 4 tv hook up to cable

the 4 brands of tv are follows
1. RCA
2. Geneal electonics 13"
3. durabrand 19 "
4 electrohome 19"

could it be that my tv is slowly dieing

So with your 4 Tv and 1 internet hook up - how is that cable split?

Ex. Cable comes into your house - and is it then split into 4 in the basement (or where it comes in) and then when it gets to your room - it is split again and one goes to TV and one to internet? or are there two separate lines run to your room?

it could be a signal issue on that one line.

Do you have a signal amplifier in your home?
Are your splitters Store bought or Shaw provided?

Also Shaw offers free service calls.

the living room has it own cable outlet
down stair bebroom has it own cable outlet
upstair bedroom it own cable outlet


the first spliter was cable company provided and we brought new one
from local store.

It could be something as simple as replacing that splitter you bought or it could be a more technical job because of poor signal because of what's coming into your home. Not much more help I can be with this issue.

Splitters should be 5-1000 mhz, and wiring in the home when using muliple Tv's almost should always be RG-6 now

what does RG 6 cable look like ?

looks just like regular cable. On the sheath (or the box) it will say RG-6. Older cablevision was RG-59 which still may be around, but not as prevelent as the newer and slightly bigger kind.
