dirtyjeffer 2006-08-12, 10:41 PM That's what the CSR said to me no hassell's:) . The only issue now if wether the changes will actually happen, and the $2 credit show up on my next bill.
i wish editors went as smoothly...there is no excuse for these agents not knowing their stuff...no excuse whatsoever.
Oorakus 2006-08-25, 06:39 PM I just got my latest bill. A movie I rented was charged twice. Actually it showed 4 times, with a charge for two of them. Three were the same, and one was a different event ID.
I had ordered the event on the automated phone thing, so that it would automatically unlock on all 3 of my PVRs. The 4th entry though was not ordered by me.
I called, and they said it was 1:45 after the first one. I said I only ordered it once, and demanded a credit. After 5 minutes on hold they agreed to credit it.
Just a warning to check your bills...
orion456 2006-10-16, 12:33 AM YAY, I FINALLY got my $40 credit I have been waiting for since FEBRUARY. They added in $20 for my trouble... I would have rather avoided the errors and frustration in the first place.
BOO, they claim they didn't receive my payment. Strange because my bank confirms sending electronic payment a week before the new billing date. And by strange chance "my previous balance" has suddenly increased by $3. An interest charge no doubt.
Now the question! Should I pay the new bill which includes my supposedly non-payment? Or should I subtract the already paid amount? If I do the later, they will start charging me interest and knowing Bell that will take another 8 months to clear up this first error and subsequent months to clear up the interest charges.
I am beginning to HATE dealing with these people. Thank god they don't have my phone or internet bill as well.
Dean W 2006-10-16, 12:55 AM I'd call them. Do you live in Ontario? They seemed to have switched me to BELL ONE BILL. My online balance doesn't show my payment to Expressvu in September. I am thinking it has to do with One Bill.
barter 2006-10-16, 01:48 AM I got the adjustment back on my bill. And I'm now getting billed the correct charge ($12-$2 price adjustment=$10).
orion456 2006-10-16, 12:20 PM Ooops, my fault! Bell cleared things up in a quickly answered phone call this morning.
YAY for Bell today! I'm up todate and I love my satellite.
Nemnoch 2006-10-16, 06:42 PM I'd call them. Do you live in Ontario? They seemed to have switched me to BELL ONE BILL. My online balance doesn't show my payment to Expressvu in September. I am thinking it has to do with One Bill.
if you paid it to your express-vu account rather than the one bill account number it won't show on your statement until the following month. it has to be transfered from the legacy billing system to the new one bill platform.
It will be there though and you won't be charged late fees either.
Nem, who is filling holes
haystack 2006-10-16, 07:50 PM You will be charged late fees but they will take them off when you phone to complain (Been there done that)
backbones 2007-01-24, 06:26 PM I told Bell back in December that I was leaving Expressvu---I've even returned the receiver---yet they still continue to bill me for programming!!!
I can't stand them
sphinx 2007-01-29, 06:55 AM I had bell over charge me for 3 months straight. However instead of calling them every day and having them keep me on the phone forever I just paid the bills. I think there were all in the $200 range. After the 3 months I get a bill saying that I have a $200 credit on my account. I guess they figured out on there own that they screwed up and I just last month paid my first bill so it evened itself out.
Don't know if this would happen to everyone but it just goes to show that if you don't bother messing with CS that things do sometimes iron themselves out.
starchoice 2007-01-29, 02:25 PM That may be but how long do you wait? Most people have no desire nor can afford to overpay a bill. Bell and its executives are rich enough and I doubt that anybody really wants to fund their errors.
dirtyjeffer 2007-01-29, 08:33 PM some billing errors are bound to happen, but BEV really needs to either be more proactive on their system, or more on top of the promotions to make sure the employees are processing transactions correctly...if the transactions aren't being done correctly, the system won't generate the correct pricing/credits/etc.
I_Want_My_HDTV 2007-01-30, 02:00 AM The problem lies in Bell's computer billing system. CSRs are not allowed to see enough info to do corrections properly and are not empowered to actually correct anything out of the ordinary. They can enter corrections all they want but some "higher power" just reverses them. About the only thing they seem to be able to do is apply credits for certain issues. The same goes for most customer issues. Some CSRs may know how to get around the system but many do not. Bell management treats their CSRs like mushrooms and all customers ever get from most of them is recycled manure. Bell is a perfect example of a dysfunctional company that should be put out of business by more efficient competition. It is one of the most hated businesses in Canada but manages to stay in business due to market domination and government protection from outside market forces.

You should be a poet - very eloquently said.

I don't agree with this statement. I didn't switch to BEV because I like the company, I switched because they have a better product (compared to the competition available to me). When that changes, I'd be happy to switch providers again (even back to Starchoice *shiver*).

I_Want_My_HDTV 2007-01-30, 04:24 PM I, too, switched to EV because it had the best HD service and best overall value at the time. (Never mind the problems with *C and Rogers.) However, I have had serious problems with companies under the Bell umbrella on several occasions. When the system works, it is Ok. It is serious hell when your problem cannot be fixed easily and they often refuse to supply a decent remedy. It can be almost impossible to get billing issues fixed, even when they make a serious mistake.
dirtyjeffer 2007-02-01, 08:14 AM but we still love you Robert. ;)
Ex Agent EV 2007-02-27, 10:49 PM I'm an agent who likes things done well...unfortunately we do not have in most cases the means to give you that. When you have a billing issue where you were overbilled on a credit card always make sure to be provided with a fax number were you can send the proof that you were billed the amount you say you were, with a contact name of who to send it to.
If your problem regards a promotion not being applied or promotional credits, make sure you request a request number which will start with the date. EX:20070227123456. If you have a shorter number that means the credit was requested in the wrong application and you won't get what you requested.
If your problem regards the 50$ activation fee, make sure you are given a request number also starting with the date. The request should have been done in the billing portal throught the financed and rented equipment.
If you were charged early termination fee but the reason why you disconnected because you are moving out of Canada or because you can not have Bell Express Vu were you move, send us the proof throught fax, otherwise the credits will most probably be declined.
Kloraff 2007-02-28, 05:42 PM Some posts have been deleted. This thread is about Bell ExpressVu billing errors and is not an internal company ethics debate. Please steer this back on track and keep them civil or more of your posts will be deleted.
Thank you.
