This is a bug tracking thread, please do not repost something that is already in the thread. Also try to post as much pertinent info of how the bug is created, especially if it is a complex issue. Also no flames, complaining of any type...this is only for tracking issues, not to rant on how you hate/love BEV!

Anyone know what to look for...as in what this is supposed to fix?

Any time I record anything the picture turns into these colorful flashing shapes on all channels until the recording is done.
I also seem to have lost all my MC channels in the 300's

It fixed the issue where you have conflicting timers, and the thing would puke up and do hard disk diagnostics.

And the hanging while booting issue apparently has been cured. I'm interested in seeing if my unit stops watch-dogging itself every day. It's reset itself 79 times since September!

FYI:
The huge rev change jump (aka v141 to v142) implies that we did a whole lot of waiting and not much has changed from before.

Is there anyone who can post (under disguise?) a list of the fixes associated with the new firmware? Surely the list exists and surely there is a Bell lurker out there?

I see no damage in this, just keeping us educated as to the evolution of the product.

regards,

patrick

The themes and search function works today. I hope it still works tomorrow without rebooting.

I had V142 installed yesterday, and it was working great until I got home today, when I saw the red recording light on my 9200 although I was pretty sure I had no timers set. Turns out that the clock was stuck at 11/30 11:59pm. It didn't roll over to the new date and I had a >19hr recording on my hands. After forcing a check switch, the time came back. I had a timer for Everybody Hates Chris (no comments on my programming choice please  ) and it didn't fire. I pressed the RECORD button to record the rest of the show and the PVR told me it conflicted with a the timer I had already set. Got the HD diagnostics and the PVR powered off. After about 3-4 minutes, it came back.

So it looks like the stuck clock and conflicting timers issue still hasn't been resolved in V142. On the flip side, my search has worked perfectly since last night.

Here's hoping for HD Nemo, HD Attack of the Clones, and HD House of Flying Daggers to come back soon, since that 19hr recording of Martha pretty much cleaned me out :(

FWIW I'm running the PVR in dual mode.

I'd like them to add the fix to turn the power LEDs on right away when you turn it on, not 2 seconds later - its a small thing but its just common sense to turn the power LEDs on when you turn it on. They can have Echostar add whatever fixes that have been added to the DVR942 from Dish.

So far my search is also working without having to force a guide update.

V142 stops the receiver from rebooting and losing signal. This was affecting a limited group of people.

Follow up software release with fixes and improvements expected to rollout very early in the new year. Major fixes in the next release will be posted on channel 230 a couple days prior to the release.

What about NBR???

That would be very welcomed!

I'd rather everything else be fixed over NBR. I just received my 9200 and noticed that the 'Inactivity standby' option in the menu is disabled. Is this disabled on everyone's? Was it always like this?

Time get stuck at 17h59 every day i dont know if its a coincidence but i have a recording scheduled at that time every day on channel 123. I have to reset the PVR to unfrooze the clock.

Anybody else ?
Any solution ?

The first 9200 release (v140) the option wasn't greyed out, but it didn't work anyway.

So if it was left on it never turns itself off? The 5900 will after 4 hours of inactivity during 1am-5am.

yes.....it will never turn off.

Mine turns off, I usually fall asleep with it on and it's "off" when I get up. The same as if I had pressed the power button except the light is still on in the front. Maybe it's not totally off but it's no longer playing anything and the "bell" screen saver is rolling around as if it was turned off with the remote.

hmmmmm. I will have to leave it on to see what happens.
