I just checked mine. The hardware id is the last 4 letters of the boot strap. It is also found after the software version. Mine is MBJD.

same here

I had a problem for the second time today. I tried to pull up the timer list to
see what was going to be recorded today, and it was blank! I rebooted, and
I had my timers back, and a timer that should have been recording before
I rebooted started recording (something I could live without, fortunately). I've
now seen this twice, and hadn't seen it on V141. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, mine did that last week. Completely empty timers list where there is usually about 25 timers.

Also, it'd be nice if they would fix the DD5.1 on both tuners at once issue. Hate that one!

I don't know if this has been mentioned in the other firmware threads, but there seems to be an HDCP problem with the 9200. It seems it will sometimes mistakenly shut off its HDMI to certain displays. The only way to remedy it is with a reboot. This also seemed to happen with 942's but was fixed with firmware.

A couple things I have had happen since v142

Program records and timer ends....this is good. I select the show, all I get is a black screen, unit goes unresponsive, I have to 10sec pwr button reboot the sucker.

Second issue,

I come downstairs, Unit has red light for recording activity, screen has the reboot "0 of 5 steps completed" dialog It's frozen on 0 and it takes a reboot to get going again in which case it goes 5 out of 5 in about 1min 30sec and it's fine again, All programs are recorded properly.....strange.

I have had the green monster issue as well on mine.....only once though. I rebooted once, and unplugged it once to get rid of it, I have not had it since.

None of these problems existed for me out of the box, in fact it was perfect up to this point......

1 step forward 3 steps back.

BTW My guess is we will never see NBR on this unit. They will release a new PVR unit one day and screw all of us by giving that one a 7day guide and NBR.

Just my prediction anyway......sorry to be so sarcastic....but it just seems like the kind of way that they would attempt to "infuse" more customer value into a new unit. If they do that, I will leave bell forever....For what I paid, I deserve a better guide and NBR....we all do. And yes I would Take NBR now even if it's buggy....at least we would have it, then they would eventually fix it.....it would be small compensation for a rediculous 48hr guide....at least I could record all my shows without having to remember a week later to check 2 days before a show airs to set a timer....this totaly defeats the purpose of a PVR

But hey, they got my money, what do they care?

I haven’t noticed this posted anywhere but when I am using my 9200’s remote#1 when trying to scroll through the 5100’s channel guide; the page up/down feature doesn’t work. Has anyone else noticed this or have this happen? The other features, so far, seem to work without incident.

I found a very interesting feature, purely by accident last night and have not noticed this mentioned in any other thread.

When trying to move the guide 24 hours ahead, (to set the PVR for 24 tonight), instead of hitting the 2 and then the 4 and then the scroll right, which brings the giude 24 hours ahead, I accidently hit the PVR button for moving ahead 30 seconds and it does just that, (moves the guide ahead 24 hours).

Yeah, they've always done that. The 5900's do it too, but it was only added in more recent firmware.

Actually (not trying to be picky but) it's been in the firmware for the 5100/5800/5900 for several years now (I've had mine since 2002). It came with the S/W that gave us the ability to move forward/backward a frame at a time and forward/backward in slow motion. That was in 2004.

You can do this??!! Thanks! I knew about the jump ahead button to skip a day but didn't know you can skip an arbitrary number of hours this way.

Yes...I'm proud to say I use this feature all the time...
