Haven't had much time to play games so Gears Of War and Burnout Revenge aren't listed yet. Lately I've been feeling nostalgic and playing a lot of DOOM. I know, it's old but so much more fun on a big screen and 5.1 surround than the 14 inch monitor and 8 bit mono sound card I originally played it on way back when. :p

Santa left an XBOX 360 under the tree for the kids (and an HD-DVD add-on for myself :D). I haven't had much chance to play so far but would be interested in some online gaming with other inexperienced mature players (I don't care much for playing games with immature kids and getting my butt kicked other than by my own kids :mad: ). I just got the 360 and begun the setup when I started it up for the first time. I entered a profile name and then began going through various settings. Then I decided to create an XBOX Live account; I was prompted to enter the original name that I had entered, but opted to enter something else.

Here is my concern: my original profile name was not saved, only the XBOX Live name. What could have happened to it? Is this normal?

Also, do I automatically sign in to XBOX Live when I sign in as my XBOX Live name? Also, is there a way to restrict it from doing this?

One more thing... I have opted to NOT save the ID password; however, I have never been asked to enter it again. For what services are you asked to enter your ID password?

1. a live acct can be different then a xbox acct, so that older one might still be there, but you shouldn't care, the live acct one is your main one. After logging in with your live acct, turn on a 2nd controller and see if that other acct is still there to use?

2. I think there is a way to turn off the autologin, go to settings and search around

3. to login to live you would need name and pword. Most ppl don't care about question 2/3 and always autologin, why do you care?
