SOUNDSTAGE, the national music concert series on PBS, presents Dave Matthews Band Weekend On The Rocks on Thursday, November 24th.

Yes, it's on that night, but not part of the Soundstage series. Thanks for the heads up!

Bump.

Not SS, but Austin City Limits has Coldplay tonight, performing from their new X&Y album. Check Your Local Listings.

Should be an excellent concert.

Suppose to have Coldplay tonight at 9PM, but it's another program on PBS (I suppose it's from Buffalo). I'm with Videotron.

I just checked my pvr and it wasn't on from Boston last night either.

The schedule for WGBH channel 2 shows as being run again Jan 1. at midnight, but their HD schedule show a re-broadcast at 3pm EST on Dec 23rd.... here's hoping!

Very disappointed. Not HD (WS, not sure if ACL is always WS or HD) and no 5.1 (I'm sure I've seen ACL in 5.1 before). I know this isn't a Spokane issue, because I've heard 5.1 on PBS from Shaw before.

Good concert nevertheless. Sang both new and old songs.

I can't recall ACL on with DD5.1 sound. If so, it has been very rare. That is, from Spokane on Shaw cable. That is what I liked about Soundstage, not only was the video superb but so was the sound.

Alan...I'm not 100% certain I've seen ACL with 5.1. SS I know has been 5.1.
Overall not a bad concert, but I was looking for a little more.

I do not recall seeing anything on ACL in DD5.1. I haven't seen everything, but I have tuned into a lot. The DPL sound has often been excellent though...

Thanks for clearing it up 57.

I believe that a couple of the early SS were DD2.0, but that was a couple of years ago, so memory's starting to fade. All the new ones have been DD5.1.

The fourth season kicks off with former Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant and his band, the Strange Sensation, delivering a sizzling set that includes the Zeppelin classics “Black Dog,” “Four Sticks,” “Gallows Pole,” “No Quarter” and “Whole Lotta Love.”

Not to be a little jackarse...but man he sure can't sing. He's lost his amazing pipes.
Look...I'm all for you pimping your new material...you're an artist, you're always evolving. But can it man, just sing the classics...

Zep was one of the best Blues bands around...now it sounds like some crap new age stuff....theyre ruining the best songs...
And that guitarist is a loser. Stop jumping around on stage moron.

Enjoyed Garbage. FF through most of Robert Plant.

Next week The Rogers IPG says Sheryl Crow, but the PBS listings say for July 13:

The innovative Bill Laswell performs his fusion of world beat, funk, rock, hip-hop and jazz; and is joined by R&B great Bootsy Collins.

The following week, July 20, the PBS listings say:

Power-pop practitioners the All-American Rejects and Fountains of Wayne. The Rejects' set includes “Dirty Little Secret,” “Swing, Swing” and “The Last Song”; while Fountain of Wayne perform “Hey Julie” and “Sick Day.”

I see Soundstage is back. Ron Thomas/Macy Gray/Dashboard Confessional/Jewel...not my choice of artist or music but worth noting that the series is back.
