I did get to salvage the owner's original VHF yagi.

It's a Delhi something or another, six element yagi. The two active elements are folded dipoles (triple fold).

Anyone interested in this?
It should be good for Global (6), and probably CHCH and CTV.
Well, in the backyard here it gives perfect reception of VHF-4 and VHF-9, and really good VHF-11 and VHF-13. And my wife swears she saw VHF-6 (Global) looking good on it too, while I was holding it upright.

I have no way to attach it to the tower rig, so that's as good a test as it'll get from me.

Hey mlord,

If it's still looking for a home, I'd be happy to give it a place to perch. As detailed in another thread, my forays into a homemade yagi for ch6 have not been going swimmingly, and Global is really my last "want" before I ditch the dish.

I have been talking to someone at Rogers about the reception issue some people are having with CJMT-DT-2 and he is wanting to know the nearest major intersection of those who are having issues. If you are having problems, could you please PM this information to me and I will forward it to him.

Lets hope he can resolve this issue. Thanks!

Hey you guys getting cbc 4 digital right now . its been down for me for the last few days ?

FYI...CBC digital went AWOL last night so after trying to find it by punching in 4-1 on the remote a few times I tried 25 and there it was! It came up and then displayed CBC 4-1 on the information box...no more problems...

Here are the settings I used.

I know TVFOOL uses a different source for its elevation model (SRTM I believe). I generated an SRTM View shed and the results did differ along the perimeter. The CDED model may provide more accurate LOS results. I am not sure if it has any benefit to others. I was just playin' around.
