What's this channel 951 ... never spotted this before? MRDVR ... could that be "MotoRola DVR". Just speculation here .... perhaps it's for the "MuRder Virtual Reality" channel :-)
Also there's a 991 TESTY showing up I can't remember seeing before... can't think what that was. 990 TESTF ended up being the Fight Network. 993 TESTT ended up being the Toronto-1 HD channel (Sun HD). Ah, I see a pattern "F" for Fight. "T" for Toronto-1.
Perhaps TESTY is WNYO-HD ... can't think what else the Y would be for ... (I'm beyond speculation here!)
And then there's 996 TESTC ... no suggestions for this one ...

There's more on the MR-DVR's here (http://www.digitalhomecanada.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19640).
Other than their lack of HD serving ability, should be a pretty cool service, depending on how much extra it costs to use.
Checked it out and no MRDVR 951 on my guide. IS it still on yours?

it still on yours?Was last night. City of Toronto ... think I'm in the old City of Toronto (never quite sure where those boundaries were ... oddly when I phone the City of Toronto, they always seems to want to know what the city I used to live in before the almagamation... but when I tell them Kitchener, it seems to upset them ... so I tell them East Toronto ... which is where I think where I was before almalgamation around 1900 or so ... but that doesn't make them much happier ... funny bunch there ... but I digress.)
I'm off for the weekend, and won't have a chance to check what's on my TV again until Tuesday or so ... so forgive the lack of a real answer!

In New Brunswick we have those test channel numbers too but they're all different ones. they've been coming and going a lot too.
a few weeks a go they were:
990 TFN --> The Fight Network (now 427)
991 TESR1 --> ROD TEST 1
992 TESR2 --> ROD TEST 2
993 TESR3 --> ROD TEST 3
994 TESR4 --> ROD TEST 4
995 SUNHD --> SUNTV HD (now 512)
998 YTV --> YTV (duplicate with lousy sound quality)
999 SPECL --> Special (duplicate of Rogers Television alt with NOT AUTHORISED screen)
990 was also HDCBS for a while (CBS Buffalo i think)
and 995 was HDFOX for a while (FOX Buffalo i think)
999 SPECL has since disappeared
New Brunswick is only just finally getting VOD services and so there are ROD TEST channels all through the lineup it seems that say "to activate this service press OK" Ok of course does nothing.

Well, since the thread's been revived, here's an update
911 TEST1
928 TESTP
930 TESTR
986 TEST1
987 TESTG
988 TESTB
989 TESTI
TESTP doesn't seem to be 599 PHNIX, as 599 is open, and 928 is not authorized.
What's interesting is 926 TESTW is still up, and it's the same now, open
signal, as 426 WFN
Hmm, 926 ... 426. That's an interesting pattern. Could TESTP be a new multicultural channel going in at 628? ... though that breaks down with 930, as there are no X30 channels unused!
No TESTT here ...

I just noticed channel 951 on my guide today? Does that mean Rogers is going to roll out the MDPVR? If so what model will it be? (I am assuming the SA8300 MRDVR)

Very old news....This channel has been on (for "testing") for quite a while now (like 18 months?) with no sign of ever launching.
When I visited the SA booth at CES in January I asked the company (SA) about their plans for MRDVR with cable companies. They said it is now old technology and they are now pushing cable ops towards IP based sharing, where you could not only get your saved programming on on other boxes, but also various other content, including stuff from your PC, similar to Media PC and their extenders.
If Rogers has not launched MRDVR by now, chances are slim that they ever will, especially if it requires switching boxes.
