they have the mentality of a governmental agency
mistakes have been everywhere ever since the time I ordered;
1. never sent me an email to tell me modem was being shipped
2. shipped modem by different couriere than agreed to and in my notes on their computer (my receiver can only receive via Purolator, not FedEx)
3. shipped modem to wrong address
4. tons of DNS issues, so much so that I have to "hard code" an old ISP's DNS numbers into each computer - I have emailed and spoken to "customer service" (oxymoron for Aniakst) and was told to "quit their service if I didn't like it." This was reiterated by a manager. Still no resolution.
5. they charged me for upgrading from 512 to 1000 during my 2 month "free period." Even though I was told by "customer service" that there would be no charge.
6. I cannot attach to my ftp site and no answers from "customer service."
They are slow and not very smart.
Bottom line; "Shut up and pay."
They remind me so very, very much of Canada Post.
I never thought I would ever say this, but I yearn for the days of Rogers cable.
Rogers stopped laying cable about 600 meteres south of me.
Otherwise I would NOT be a;
Telesat customer (division of BCE - Bell Canada Enterprises)
ExpressVU customer
Bell long distance and local
Bell Mobility
And the just don't care at all.
I'm seriously considering moving down the road to get away from Bell's monopoly. (hand up my ass)
I really hope Bell goes out of business. They just don't deserve my money, but they are the ONLY game in town, for now....
For ANYONE getting Anikast, look twice before you jump. It's a long way down into Hell.
