Soundsaround has the box for $648. A & B will price match (they'll phone to confirm the price) so you don't need to produce a flyer (Visions wouldn't match without one). While I had trouble with the box I got from A & B, Shaw's service was impeccable and they replaced my box. With tax, it will cost you $700 (don't forget the RalphBucks!).

I've owned a Shaw HD box since 2002 (Motorola 5100). I have to say the 6412 P3 is a quantum leap over that box for both HD and SD (at least with my 36" screen). The bonus is the PVR. Even at 120GB its got plenty of room. You can always go to Bell (9220), but I found the monthly Shaw bill to be cheaper (even with less HD and no HD timeshifts). Other factors that entered into my decision were no other installation costs, no rain fade, excellent service, possibility for savings i(f I ever switch my phone service or internet).

I'm using Component cables. I can't speak to HDMI. Bottom line its your choice and your money. But for what its worth, I'm happy!
