Does anybody know of a place where they really have free downloadable ringtones to CDMA phones without having to type so much info before you actually get anything?
I haven't found any yet that will do just that: give you a free ringtone.
nothing in life is free my friend ;)

I think Bell and Telus (and their affilaties like MTS, Aliant, SaskTel) do everything they can to prevent downloads from sites other than their own. I downloaded a free ringtone from a 3rd party WAP site on my Fido GSM phone and it worked fine, but when my friend tried from his Bell phone, it said 403 Forbidden Content.
If you have your phone's cable or flash card, if your phone takes one, and if your phone can play MP3 ringtones, there are some sites that have MP3 ringtone previews that you can save and use. Most sites use Real Media though.

they don't have every song under the sun, but they have a lot and they're free. u can browse the site from your home pc to avoid a lot of data charges on your phone also.

I used BitPim and a data cable to transfer ring tones and wallpaper to my phone. Also works for getting pictures off the phones. Many phones will work well, depends on the phone. The software will do some of the transfers with an interface, but also lets you browse, write, read directly from the directory structure on the phone. Check ebay for a data cable, usually under $10 with shipping.
