I have heard rumours of the BenQ DV 3750 being available anywhere from mid August to October. Does anyone have any information on this LCD TV? BenQ themselves are being rather vague about its release date.

I don't know how long it's been available but Crutchfield in the States has it, as well as www.computergoodies.ca in Ottawa. It doesn't seem like such a bad little display, 1080p, but only 1 DVI input, and I'm a little leery of BenQ's de-interlacing technology.

DV3750 is now available at Sears Canada for reasonable $3199 CDN:

www.computergoodies.ca is selling it for just under $2900, but I don't believe they're selling it with the speakers, just the monitor.

Also, BenQ uses Faroudja DCDi de-interlacing (I wasn't aware of this when I previously posted) so it's not too bad.

DV3750 TV will not accept 1080p HDTV signal for sure (1080i only). I'm not sure about 1920x1080p @ 60Hz over HD15 though (it might be possible, although it is not a listed mode according to the user manual), but over DVI-D it is highly unlikely (it looks like DV3750 has a single-link DVI-D input).

Good point. Do you know if it upconverts non-1080p signals to 1080p from the DVI or Component inputs?

This unit is currently availalbe for under $2000 (I've seen it as low as $1769). True 1920x1080 and all the other goodies that come with Benq models. Full tuner, sound system, etc. Not HDMI -- DVI only but supports hdcp apparantly.

37" LCD -- highest resolution on the market -- under $2k. Wow.

I have an earlier edition -- the DV3080 -- and have been very happy with it.
