The I-Guide should be released this month. The new guide is supposed to exist on all models.

Use this thread to discuss bugs, questions, etc.

For now, here's a PDF from Cogeco:

will this finally give us any indication of elapsed time or time remaining while watching or forwarding through a program?

warpdryv...based on the demo it looks like it will...but i'm in no position to confirm or deny that it will have that functionality.

james99....based on a post you made in another thread, did your inside sources happen to mention when they will start upgrading and what their deployment strategy might be? i.e. certain areas and certain stb's, or all in one shot?

WIll the dual tuner also be active at this time?

Yes, this is the upgrade that supports the dual tuner.

I was told a few weeks ago that it would be a region rollout. I'll post additonal info if/when i get it.

Not sure if all models are being upgraded at once. Once it starts rolling then it's only a matter of time.

I'll get more info on Monday but it seems the 6208 will be release before the 6412 which is good news for us early adaptors.

So the box on which the upgraded guide will make the most difference won't be upgraded first? Who came up with that brilliant sequence?

I went to www.prevue.com and noticed that they have a newer version on-screen guide called 'Starsight'. I wonder if Cogeco gets a discount on buying/using old software (I-Guide)?

Does anybody have information on this 'Starsight' guide? Just curious.

Yuck! It's the same as Guide Plus+. Not a newer version; just a different version, and a step backwards from the iGuide.

I can't wait for I-Guide and dual tuner support.

I am new to Cogeco, so how will I know it's here. Will the cable box update while it's on or does it need to be switched off?

I am in the Quinte (Belleville) area and am wondering when the I-Guide is coming. Has anyone asked Cogeco on the phone yet?

only on the 700-2500 right now, not sure about any 6200's 5xxx or 6208's tho. As far as 6412's go the dual tuner is still in testing so the guide may not show up for a bit.

Can you completely remove a channel, so it does not display in the guide?

I believe thats somewhat how it was done before, so in other words, its not supported.

The only reason they don't allow this is because they want you see all the channels that are available, and all the ones you don't subscribe to. I mean if I hide all the VOD/PPV channels, I wouldn't have the "impulse" to order anything would I? Hence, less sales for the cable co.
