This list will expand once the major Networks release their schedules. A good number of these games will be available in Canada.

Thanks for that James looks like all the Sunday night and Monday night games we will get for sure. To me it's hard to find anything better than NFL football done in HD. (pq wise that is)

Yes I would agree. I have watched several sports in HD and football is the best in PQ.

Too bad I am not on BEV, *choice doesn't have the HD games in their Sunday ticket. Boohoo!

I could always switch back to BEV LOL I suppose. But I won't. I would like them to carry Sunday ticket in HD though!

trellaine, you will also miss all the Sunday Night game in HD because Star Choice does not have TSN HD.

Interesting, the next scheduled game is the Vikings vs. Jets and both Zap2It and CBS's own HD schedule show it as not being in HD.

Game looks and sounds great on FOX right now (NE v. NO). Similar 5.1 audio setup to ABC's, with the talking out the center, action on the fronts, crowd on the rears.

Another game on tonight:

8/19/2005 NFL Minnesota Vikings vs. N.Y. Jets (Preseason) 8:00 PM CBS (1080i)

If this is what I can expect form CBS...*yawn*....the sound presentations SUCKS! What's with the announcers coming out all 3 front speakers....and are the rears even on? Yes, it looks good, but there's an expectation with 5.1 now, especially after listening to ABC and FOX.

Yes it's hard to find HD better than with the NFL, but there are two other sports which also get good coverage:

- The Masters by CBSHD (Flowers and shrubs at Augusta seen at the best time of the year).

- The US Open tennis by CBSHD not only provides good PQ but the most outstanding DD 5.1 in sports. It seems they place mikes each sides of the fore court and each side of the far court. So if a ball is hit from the left fore court, you hear it on the rear left speaker and if it goes to the far court on the right you hear it fall and then the return hit on the front right speaker, and so on. Sitting in front of my HT to see the Open or being there physically, not much difference!

With all of these games on today (including several in HD) why would anybody pay to watch football?

Because if you Follow a specific team like for me the Vikings, there is usally only one or 2 games on the reg networks.

That's a lot of $$ to follow one team. Right now I can watch 4 HD games for free.

offcourse free is allways better, but I got the ticket for $90 divide that by 16
is $5.62 per week, so thats not much. even the full price is $11.25 a week. so thats like buying a pack off smokes a week lol and I dont smoke so I guess its to each there own.

So I noticed tonight's game on TSN-HD is not in 5.1 sound. :(

Does anybody have access to the ESPN-HD feed? Is ESPN-HD showing it with 5.1 sound?

I don't think ESPN uses 5.1 they use circle surround,I remember reading that somewhere.

Espn was DD2.0 last night. The DD5.1 processors are ordered and on the way as per avsforum.com.

It seems that pretty much every game was produced in HD. On Rogers at least, they switched over to a few games after the original ones ended. I didn't see the Saints game on the list to be in HD but they showed the end of it in HD on FOXHD.
