finally, after around 9 months of trying I have finally pulled in channel 12 WICU from Erie, Pa and its sub channels. So it makes me think if I actually get a decent VHF antenna perhaps I could get it in more often?

tropo continues as I have been able to pull in some Columbus Ohio stations and Youngstown, Ohio is coming in very strong too.

Wow, what a great night for OTA around here. I was able to pickup every single station that is stored in my PSIP mappings with fairly descent signals. I picked up a total of 62 Digital stations tonight!!!! Crazy...

I'm picking up some fringe signals without even pointing the antenna in the right direction. Can someone tell mother nature to leave the conditions alone? :)

Last night (Tuesday night) the tropo for me was the strongest. I was able to pull in almost any station from all 5 surrounding markets: Flint, Lansing, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland. At one point my PSIP's were remapping like mad every time i found a new station it overrode an old one.

WNEM on UHF 22 was blasting out here and overpowering Global...
WSMH on UHF 16 was doing the same overpowering A-channel. Crazy!

WILX from Lansing was the strongest I have ever seen it....

I managed to pickup a few new ones... WOTV 41-1 UHF 20 from Kalamazoo, 130 miles
Had a few glimpses of a few others.... at one time i had 62 digital channels stored in my PSIP mappings. Thing that sucks about my tv is when i do a scan, it erases them all and adds what it finds so I tend to try to manually tune and pickup stations rather then do a scan, cause then i have to hunt around and re-add all the rest which is a pain.

well early this morning proved to be my personal best Dxing results.
I was able to pull in from many markets not seen before from my home here in London, Ontario
Lima, Ohio (never seen)
Fort Wayne (only seen one station previous)
Indy (never seen)
South Bend (never seen)
Battle Axe (never seen)

My darn digital camera was eating up the batteries as quick as I could get pictures off.
Honestly it was hard to keep up with all the stations I pulled in and there are a few that I did not even get a picture of on account of battery issues.
needless to say I am downloading the pictures to my Flicr account for all of you to see

Phil thank you for your detailed Dxing list there a few posts back, so I will not repost the ones I got as many of them are the same.

I as well had some fun last night, I was picking up a ton of stations from Dayton, Columbus, Lima and even a few from Cincinnati. (over 200 miles away) I'd love to post the list but it would be a repeat of most of your channels guys. And Poof! Today they are all gone lol.

Weather seems favorable tonight in Kitchener Waterloo. My location 15th floor apartment at Queen & Margarette. I don't have direct line of sight with buffalo (well just barely). I just picked up channel 9 syracuse - 350Km away -

Today around noon WDIV was destroyed and I didn't know why at the time. Thought the transmitter had problems. Then WTVG took a serious hit. I come back around 5pm tonight and WWJ CBS is pixelating all over!

Interesting thing on Detroit: The next episode of "This Old House" will feature a segment on installing an OTA antenna!

I looked at the tropo maps and it makes sense. All Syracuse all night and hopefully tomorrow if the map is correct.:D

EDIT Now this is a first. CHWI-16 is just 9 miles away from me at 492kW ND and a digital (WSMH FOX66 on 16) at 245kW DA over 90 miles away managed to *BRIEFLY* decode despite the FM carrier heard quite clearly still in CHWI analog.

Getting another full slate of Ottawa stations. Also receiving some analog TVA stations. WNPI is in very strong tonight. Swinging west, all of the Buffalo stations and a number of metro Toronto stations are in quite strong. Will scan for a little while and see what shows up.

Wow the tropo keeps on coming down here tonight. Another never before seen station absolutely killing yet another local strong analog station. First it was WSMH-DT on RF16
then WNEM-DT CBS on RF22 trashing CIII-TV Global at 1022kW just 7 miles away,
and now northern Michigan (Cadillac) WWTV-DT 9-1 CBS,9-2 (FOX33) at 45kW on RF9 bringing CBET-TV 9 CBC 201kW at 18 miles west of here to its knees. Decoded it for a couple of minutes with pixelation.

Truly remarkable that local reception is all but destroyed all around here tonight.

Another station seen before decoded in the last 15 mins (WBAY-DT 2-1 RF23 Green Bay, WI) a little over 300 miles NW. As well as WDCQ-DT 15-1,2,3,4 Bad Axe, MI (RF15)

W27CN-D Low power digital repeater station for Lansing, MI. It repeats Saginaw's WAQP-DT TCT digital broadcast at only 8.5kW ERP. The contour only extends 12 miles!

Detroit is coming into K-Town again tonight.

And a new station for me: WPTA 24.1, 24.2 (RF 24), Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

WKTV 29.4, 29.5 (RF24) was also coming in from the other direction: Utica, NY.

I was watching Dragnet on CKXT-DT out of Toronto, which is normally about a 23db signal for me and it totally dropped out at 2:30am. CBLT-DT which usually comes in around 27, and CITY-DT both dropped out as well.. Scanned for anything coming in DX but, nothing but locals :/ All those came back around 3:07am... odd

nice, jase! how often do the detroit locals roll in to the Kitchener area? i know your height must be similar to panamark's in London... which certainly helps with reception.
