I sent an email to wutv, probably the fifth one, haven't heard and probably won't- they don't respond. Although I did talk to them on the phone once when I had a day off. phone-(716) 447-3200.

I'm getting NBC/ABC more frequently now but haven't been able to get CBS at all.

Are other people having issues getting 4.1?

This is speculation on my part. WUTV shutdown channel 29 recently and don't need the channel 29 antenna, transmission line and transmitter. They may be working on the tower to make whatever changes are required. Power cutbacks are often required when riggers are working on a tower due to RF exposure regulations.

Perhaps WUTV may want to move their digital antenna up to the top 329m where their analog antenna is vs 300m where the digital antenna is licensed at.

Odd that WUTV does not answer viewers. http://www.wutv.com/inside/contact.shtml

Their signal is back to normal. They did finally respone to my email saying that they have received hundreds of complaints about their signal to the North. But said nothing is wrong but the directinal antenna.Yet the signal is back strong while WNYO is the same.Definitely not weather. They also stated that no matter what frequency they pick Canada then chooses that frequency for something to force the directional antenna.Sounds like Protection of the Simsub trying to force Canadians onto cable/sat service.

Yes, it looks like the power is back to wutv/wnyo, but I did notice something funny with the nyo signal (49.1)- it seems to have ever so slight snow- quick moving white dots- anyone else?

....

My wife is (sadly) watching Wife Swap on WKBW and is reporting pixilation and break-up. Despite the many levels of double entendre here.... anyone else see this?

Perhaps this is Karma's way of pointing out the absolute decline of Western Civilization and punishing those who watch such..... "programming"?

I'm getting 54.1 WQLN from Erie off my 4228HD pre-amped.

Off the 4221HD (no Pre-amp) I'm getting channel 50 analog from Syracuse. Peterborough and Barrie are coming in too.

Just want to say that it's raining here in Brampton and picture on channel 66-1 is pixilating,Sunday 1pm is my time here very bad reception and also 36-1CITS-DT Hamilton.Anyone else in Brampton or Mississauga having the same problem?:(

@flameangel: Those two stations have low ERP; therefore it's not surprising that rain would impair them in your location.

Thanks for the response Jase so that's the same for all Bramptonians I guess.

Hi Gang,

Well, as Apple Fans, the wife and I are watching Wozniak waddle around on Dancing With The Stars and hearing / seeing Audio breakups in signal every 10 seconds. Just me? Do I need to move the antenna a centimeter??

This is not the first time ABC Buffalo has been doing this lately and so I wonder. Anyone else???

well, this morning's been VERY interesting! CHCH-TV-51 (just west of london) came in BOOMING this morning as clear as the detroit locals, and i got severe interference between WPXD's four digital signals and W33BY-CA, both on 33. Also picked up WLNS-TV 6 (CBS Lansing) and my set detected WILX 10 (NBC Lansing), though there was no signal... also picked up either Global's sarnia-area transmitter (on 29) or WGTE's digital signal (also on 29).... i think CHCH-TV just beat out WILX for "most distant station recieved".

This is with my antenna pointed northwest... almost completely OPPOSITE of London! o.O

This is crazy; I was getting channel 50.0 WWTI (ABC) out of Watertown NY this morning. Watertown is 200 miles from Hamilton. I am running two 4221HDs- one pointed to Toronto and one to Buffalo- joined with a reversed splitter and no pre-amp. No other stations in between were coming in- (eg. Rochester). Why only this station?

Straight shot due east down Lake Ontario, is my guess. I believe that it is on 21.1 and converts to 50.1. Should have tried 7.1 to see if WWNY comes in.

It's not digital- it's the analog channel 50 or 50.0. The lake thing makes sense, thanks.
