Evil Dead - saw it when I was about 11 yrs old in the middle of a thunderstorm with my buddy. We were both freaked out for weeks afterwards.

Cannibal Holocaust - a truly disturbing movie. Banned in so many countries when it was released I'm surprised we managed to find a copy. I lived in England at the time. Saw it when I was in my early teens and have never looked at cannibals the same way since. I think it was just re-released on DVD. I might have to watch it one more time.

Blair Witch Project - as an adult this is still one of the scariest movies I've seen. The whole premise of the story and the way that the movie forces your imagination to do the work was brilliant. The woods across from our house looked particularly spooky when we got home from the theatre. I actually bought it on VHS at some point but was too much of a fraidy cat to watch it on my own for quite some time.

The Ring - another great movie. The real scare for me came at the end of the movie when the dude is in his apartment, the dead girl's coming out of the TV and his phone is ringing. At some point during this particularly intense scene my wife and I suddenly realized that our home phone was ringing as well.......in perfect synchronization with the movie. We both looked at each other and I answered the phone.......it was my brother. I told him to call back later.

Here's another one of those that I'm embarrassed to admit. I was 11 I think when I saw it and scared the crap out of me. Young Frankenstein. yup.
I think the black and white and set design just spooked me. Also Frau Bloocha!.
My 3 fav. horror movies now are:
The Shining
The Changling- that banging on the tub.
Silence of the Lambs-just plain creepy

There it is, I'm out!
