So what does your username mean? Obviously, with names there's no need to explain. ;)
With me, bembol is my Filipino nickname. It's also my personalized plates.

I work/study a molecule called RNA. Although now I am involved entirely in biochemical projects, when I created this handle I used to be in the chemistry department at U of T.

My user name comes from when I was a little kid and my mum and dad used to call me, mightymike with the big brown eyes.
Well now at 54, the eyes are a little smaller, sitting in a large fatish face and I sure ain't mighty!
Typing my name one time, my right hand was moved one letter to the left, so instead of "Mike", I got "Nuje". Every board has a tonne of "mike" derivatives; Nuje is always unique. :)

I am just lazy and I used my ID from work.
The syntax was based on my managers location and my initials
QUE = Quebec. My manager is in Montreal.
3 is arbitrary.
JXP = Jason (no middle name supplied so X) Price

guess my first name . . ..
guess which year I was born in . . . ..
2005-05-13, 04:32 PM
Well, I wasn't born in 42 AD............
The first time I needed a username, I tried "Ken" and it was taken. Well, the ultimate answer to life the universe, and everything is 42. "Ken42" was taken. So was "ken042."

Nanuuk is a derivation of the Inuit name for polar bear or great white bear. I've seen it spelled Nanuk, Nanook, Nanuuk. I spent some years in NE B.C. and it was the coldest that I'd seen since living in Winnipeg. So I'd get all bundled up and go for a walk and fancied myself as Nannuk of the North. Laugh all you want. I called wifey, my little Ookpic!

I swiped my moniker from a kid's drawing of a dolphin who couldn't spell the infamous mammal's name...

Nickname, I spell it wrong on purpose to resemble my last name. There's just two letters different.
And I was hooked on Taco Bells bean burrito when I was a teen.

My username is my initials. Straightforward, but uninteresting. :(

.... I'd get all bundled up and go for a walk and fancied myself as Nannuk of the North.....
Great name. A very noble beast the polar bear. Did 3+ years (back in the 60's) at the Univ. of Alaska (near Fairbanks), so can personally relate to your "bundled up .... Nanuuk of the North" look and comment!! It was some cold for me too, a boy from the Lower Mainland of BC's 'wet & mild' coast, I too often had that same look(just going between classes!!).

Nels Stewart played 7 seasons with the Montreal Maroons (1925-32), winning two Hart trophies. I've got a small collection of original hockey art, including a painting by an artist named Sean Thompson, of Nels in full Maroons' uniform, kneeling on a stage singing opera (you can catch a glimpse of it if you follow the link in my signature to the movie trailer I built about my home theater, now slightly out of date).

Your hockey hero is some one from the 1920's? WOW! Impressive!

When I used to play Age of Empires I had to come up with a funky Roman handle: Maximus Vitellius. I shortened that to maxyvits. I liked my other handle better PontifexRex (Priest-King). However, maxyvits is what stuck so I stayed with it.
