Nice job resago, I'm curios about the reflector screen on the Y10-7-13 and whether you found it made a significant difference for your reception.

Thanks guys... It works pretty good too! ;)

It is my understanding that you can have a maximum of 2-10 foot unsupported sections of tower, above the roof bracket, which is where mine is. Any more than that, and you will need guy wires.

I may move mine to a different location at the other end of the house closer to my TV, and add a 10' section or two with guy wires, once the weather gets nicer.

Hope that helps.

Okay, so here a pic of the install...

Totally in pre-transitional land... Install went well, very happy that I won't be getting a monthly TV bill for the next 10 years on an occasional place...

Looks good! My only suggestion would be to better secure the cable on the antenna pole, and at the rotor with a small loop of cable there.

It has taken almost three years but I have finally achieved what I have trying for. Here is my newest set up here in London, On

http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/picture.php?albumid=120&pictureid=3856

There are identical 36 inch coax RG6 cable going into a Winegard combiner then a 24 inch piece out to a 7778 amp.

Finally, the little gain achieved has made the difference between my 90 mile 2edge channel's from dropping due to digital cliff.

It's not pretty but it does the trick.

notice the little VHF antenna. Don't be fooled this little antenna packs a punch.

What a beautiful sight!

Will you be posting further configuration details and reception results in the London thread?

Wow thats a sweet setup Panamark, can you tell the name of the bottom smaller antenna please?

@xilbus
the VHF antenna is a BLV6F VHF-HI (CH7-13) YAGI Antenna (http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=138730) manufactured by Fracarro in Italy. I found a distributor in Michigan. The dollar is so strong, so why not.

Looks real good Panamark. Thinking about adding a VHF myself. Weren't u worried about spacing between the antennas. I've thought that had to be a certain distance like a 4' minimum or does that matter for a UHF separate and a VHF separate antenna?

Mine are kinda close too, but have seen no detrimental effects after much experimentation. They're even closer now than in the photo below from a few months ago. (About 1 foot from boom to boom)

Good looking setup hoopitup. I suppose it stands to reason that if a combo antenna works fine and dandy than what does it matter how far apart they are. Now which VHF separate antenna to choose to add to my roof mounted cm4228. So far from what I've been able to research, it's going to be a winegard.

pshseek, there is very detailed information on antenna spacing in the OTA FAQ, so please have a look.
