Is there any point in getting the core system? For 100 bucks more it seems like its a no brainer to go for the premium system. problem for me is that I can't find a store in Nova Scotia that has a premium bundle in stock. Damn ....I just bought an hdtv as well...

Well Microsoft still expects to sell about 5 million 360's by June so for that miracle to happen they will eventually need to start making them ;)

I'd say wait a few weeks more and get the full system. I've been willing to wait but now that Robotron is available online, I'm getting anxious :D

I finally gave up waiting for stock to come in and bought a premium from a reputable guy on redflagdeals.com from saskatoon. $580 + $20 shipping, all items still sealed in their plastic wrap plus the sales receipt. If I could find it here it would be $575 anyway, so it cost me all of $25 to get it now. He had only taken out the main console and played it for 20 minutes to make sure it wasn't going to be DOA. Both console and power supply appear to be running quite cool too, no idea if that's a good sign or not.

The power supply normally runs pretty hot but as with power adapters it will cool off with use, sort of a break in period so to speak.

Congrats on getting a 360, too bad you couldn't get one in store but anyway make sure you get on Live and add your tag to the Canadian gamers list. :D

Already done - I've had live for a long time but my id (joxer) is now on the 360 and osted on the other thread. I really like the way Live integrates now, especially the way you can just hit that green x and bring up your friends list, dashboard, etc.

I don't particularly like the COD2 Live play though - I'm still not sure how Petee C even invited me, but the odds of me getting to the server in time for it not to be full seemed slim with no Halo2 like lobby opions you pair up beforehand. Hope they get that patched as rumoured.

The developers of CoD2 have stated that they're "aware of the problems people have with the online portion of Cod2". They're working on a patch for the online portion to improve it. Most likely for the extreme lag and connections issues that people regularly get. Hopefully they'll also improve the lobby system as well and submit the patch through Live.

I'm still not sure how Petee C even invited me,
When your in a game you hit the live button/ friends list/ pick who you want and then choose "invite to a game" ;)
