Hey....
If anyone from Persona reads this forum, could they check the simsub computer's time please????? This is in regards to the Timmins system.
They are switching about a minute late it seems. I'd call in and complain but I'm not too crazy about being made to feel like I'm insane by the CSRs.
Is this still happening? Believe it or not, simulcasts (switching from american feed to canadian) are the kind of thing that *usually* gets noticed very quickly.

;)
Oops....forgot I posted that. I think it is OK now. I haven't recorded as much on the US feeds lately since their scheds are so screwed up with shows starting off by a minute or two in either direction but I think it is OK now. I'll give it another check later tonight or tomorrow night.

The website makes it look like we are stuck in time. Info is out of date, incomplete and of little use. Gee, maybe that should be the subject of my next email.
Do you know if this list is the updated list of HD Channels?
153 HD TSN
155 HBO Canada HD West
156 HD Movie Central
159 HD CBC Toronto
160 HD ABC Seattle (KOMO)
161 HD CBS Seattle (KIRO)
162 HD NBC Seattle (KING)
163 HD Fox Seattle (KCPQ)
164 HD PBS Detroit (WTVS)
I just signed up in Cold Lake, AB since it's what is available in the area and the apartment complex.
Bottom of the website says "Copyright 2006"...is this the complete list from 2006 or the complete list from 2009?

You're probably better off to call or email them and request a channel line-up card via snail mail or even a PDF via email.
I did back in the past and they no problems.:)

I sent them an e-mail requesting a channel line-up card and they referred me to their website.
So there's only like 9 HD channels with these guys?

Do the analog channels match what the website has? Tell them their website is very outdated (still!!!). About the 9 channels, I couldn't tell you if that's correct. Zap2it only shows 3 channels for Cold Lake. I guess you never got a card when you got connected.
Do you currently have Digital with them? If so and depending on the model of the DCT, your guide would still list the HD channels that are available even if you can't tune them in. That has been my experience with Cogeco in Windsor, ON when visiting family. They have a Motorola DCT 1800 on 1 TV but still see the HD channels listed in the guide among everything else. As long as it isn't a DCT1000/1200 you have a chance. I'm not sure if a DCT2000 shows it or not.

Anyone with Persona been having issues with their HD Channels?
I can't get TSN or CBC at all and other channels like Fox, HBO, and Movie Channel are terribly pixelated like when you have a low signal on a satellite. Am I the only one?

Which Persona system are you talking about? There's quite a few of them out there and technically Western Canada is the only Persona territory...the rest are all EastLink branded now.
If you aren't getting channels at all and they are saying "one moment please" and others are tiling then you most likely have a low signal issue. Most of the HD channels tend to be located higher up in the frequency spectrum where there is more signal loss as it travels through the cable. If you have a splitter before the TV you could try removing it just to see if your picture improves.

I am in Western Canada on Persona Cable.
There is no splitter hooked up at all so I can't figure out what's causing the signal loss. It worked great for the first two days and then yesterday TSN and CBC became all pixelated. Now I can't get those two channels at all and others are losing signal as well.

We had a similar issue in my neighborhood. It ended up the line was damaged a few houses down which caused problems for the HD channels. Eastlink fixed the line and the problems went away. HD is very nice now!
Unstuck as Persona almost gone!
