LAS VEGAS — Sony is looking to get a grip on the handheld video game market. (http://www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyle/2005-01-05-psp-debut_x.htm)
Its not-so-secret weapon is the PlayStation Portable, or PSP, a digital camera-sized device. It is being unveiled today for the annual Consumer Electronics Show. (http://www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyle/2005-01-05-psp-debut_x.htm)

Is it possible to order the PSP "unbundled"? It seems everybody is selling it for an extra $100 with a few extras (usually games). I would rather buy the games i want and save the $100.

I was thinking about getting the PSP for someones birthday, but it has a hefty price tag and was wondering what the lowest price someone has seen and where. Also, does it act like a standard mp3 player where you can just plug it in with a usb and drag and drop? Finally, do you think it is worth it, or the dough could be spent elsewhere for something better? (P.S. one thing I do not get are the graphics...are they similar to ps2, ps1 or nintendo-ds. I just want to get a relative idea) Thanks in advance

Graphics are supposed to be as good or a little better than a ps2, it is a 333hmz same as a ps2 try this link (http://www.psproms.com/sony_psp_info.htm) also it is usb or Memory Stick PRO Duo. They also have 6 movies coming out for this lil bad boy here the link (http://www.videogamesplus.ca/default.php?cPath=380_439) I currently have an xbox and a gamecube, I personally will not be getting a handheld but I will be getting the next generation of home consoles like the xenon ( Xbox2 released at the end of this year) or a ps3 ( released early 2006 ?) cant play a handheld on a bigscreen^_^
