I am quite sure that this is a simple question.
After looking at the FAQs it seems that once I pick up my SA8300HD box all that I will need to connect the video to my new HDTV is a HDMI to DVI cable. Correct?
Anyone know if a good place to get the cable at a resonable price?
Thanks.

Is your TV DVI-in or HDMI-in as I believe the 8300HD has HDMI out.
Check out http://www.svideo.com/dvihdmi3.html
They have pretty good prices. I just ordered an HDMI cable from them last night.

Thanks for the quick reply. The TV has a DVI in interface.

Then, yes, I believe (if in fact the 8300HD has an HDMI out) you would want an HDMI to DVI cable in order to utilize the digital video out of the STB. Or you could just use component cables for the best analogue signal, your choice.

See the other digital home FAQ on DVI/HDMI information?

If you don't want to order online, nor pay nutty prices at Best Buy etc...
Audio Excellence in Yorkville, Toronto has them.
DVI <> HDMI - 1m around $50, 2m around $65...
I bought the 1m and it works fine.. .replaced $250 best buy cables..
