I thought DD.5.1 is automatic with DTS branded versions because some folks do not have DTS capable receivers.

FYI, Future Shop has the Eagles and Rod Stewart for $15.99, you can't go wrong at that price.

The first version of the Eagles was DTS only (and linear PCM). I beleive some people were upset about this so the newer release had DD5.1. And, I think that version also has DTS5.1 from the original release (as well as linear PCM).

Ok, I snagged the Eagles, but the one thing (correct me if I'm wrong) I noticed it no longer has multiple camera angles.

This week's FS flyer clearly shows the DTS logo in the ad... accept no substitutes.

Even though I have "One Night Only" I am really considering buying this set now...

I just wish they would release "Live In Australia" on DVD. Great potential for an awesome music DVD.

I already had a copy of "One night Only" as well, but couldn'y pass up 2 more full concerts plus a 90 minute anthology for that price.

A couple of other favorites in my collection:

1) Crosby, Stills & Nash; The Acoustic Concert (still great harmonies, and David Crosby has never sounded better )

2) Cat Stevens - Majikat

3) Simon and Garfunkel - Old Friends

4)Great Big Sea - Great Big DVD (Captures much of the intensity of their live show, and reminds me of home !!!)

When was this recorded? I saw them a couple years ago in concert. They were superb.

I just picked up the Clapton "crossroads guitar festival" filmed last year. Outstanding sound , footage , and production from the best players of both past and present.

I'm with Filper, Andyman. I saw the DVD at HMV for $30.99. I was not sure if it's 5.1 and Widescreen. If it is, I will grab it. Please enlighten us.

I have been enjoying Clapton's Robert Johnson DVD tribute lately.

Thanks,

A little, filmed at the ACC in the fall, it was originally suposed to be released this spring but got pushed back. They are releasing a greatest hits package in the fall so it may be tied into that. If you saw the Juno's, when they were doing the tribute to the band they were showing some live clips, they were all from the ACC show that was filmed, sort of a sneak peak I guess. www.hipbase.com forums has a lot more info and rumours.

I picked up The Last Waltz a couple of weeks ago and finally go around to watchin it. What an amazing film. great use of camera work, great sound. One of the best concerts I have seen on DVD. I've watched it twice now. Great stuff.
In the extra section there is a cool bit from Martin Scorsese on how they went about filming it. Very cool.
Its on sale for $9.99 with 5.1 sound. You can't go wrong for that price.

"Bring On The Night" Sting. A filmed anamorphic WS documentary/concert from 1985 with dts & DD.

I am not fond of Sting, nor am I fond of jazz, but together I am quite fond of this DVD. It's a nice night out.

$15.88 at Wallymart.
