Can't say I noticed anything too distracting from the light board. It certainly was an awesome effect live.

The PQ wasn't the best I've seen, but was certainly not the worst by far. I'm just happy to finally have a record of this concert which I had the privilege to attend (in Boston) and to have a copy of the music videos.

A great DVD set overall.

Led Zeppelin: Awesome footage spanning their career, great DTS audio. The excerpts from the Madison Square Garden show are so good, it makes me wonder why they were ever cut out of "The Song Remains The Same".
The Who - The Kids Are Alright: A beautifully-restored, "must have" music-documentary of the band.
Ani DiFranco - Trust: Captures the intimacy of her performance and the urgency of her music and lyrics. The occasional bits of intentionally "artistic" graininess are disappointing, though.
Metallica - Cunning Stunts: I'm not a big fan of the band, but the audio and video are great and the cameras put you right up on stage and put the band right in your face.

It wasn't the board itself, it was the artifacts it created on my display... maybe it's time for me to get it calibrated.

Taped from TV:
John Fogerty: Premonition (I think that is what it was, I taped it off PBS a few years back).
Led Zep: The Song Remains The Same.

Seen (I think it was), Fleetwood Mac: The Dance.
Something with Dennis DeYoung and and Orchestra (at least one such perfomance is part of a PBS pledge drive).

This Abba show from the 1970s.

I'd Like to get:
Live Aid
Led Zep: The Song Remains The Same

MY favorite Addition so far
HEART- Live from Seattle, Great DVD Pic And Sound.

The best one I own too.

The middle acoustic set is a treasure. Gotta love 'Alone'... It wows everyone who sees it.

I'd Like to get:
Led Zep: The Song Remains The SameThat one's on my list, but not until they re-master it in DD5.1 or DTS. (It's currently only DD2.0. (http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/songremainsts.php))

I received the Who - Live in Boston for Christmas ... Your comments on this DVD resulted in an impulse purchase yesterday. I ran quickly through it last night and it looked and sounded pretty good! The profanity bit was bizarre and unfortunate...but if Pete had yakked less and started the next song sooner, it could have been shorter.

Note to anyone planning to buy it: Although the DVD jacket says the video is "16:9", it's not. I noticed almost immediately after starting play that it didn't look right, so I flipped the TV to 4:3 and it was perfect. A bit of a bummer but, ultimately, it's not that big a deal.

--- Update ---

The Who: Live in Boston - Well, it was great show of great tunes. The audio and video were really good and the camera work was excellent. The band and the back-up musicians were all very tight, and Daltrey and Townshend looked like they were having a blast. Daltrey did have to strain a bit to hit the high notes, but his voice is still pretty damned solid. And, while Townshend's pseudo-lead guitar noodlings haven't gotten any more interesting over time, he remains a top-notch rhythm guitarist with some great hooks and riffs.

This concert DVD makes a great "latter day" companion to The Kids Are Alright.

Yeah, but if your a Who fan and never ever had the opportunity of seeing them, it was pretty darn good. Its great to see some old guys that can rock (I don't count the Stones because they're past old, they look fossilized!). Speaking of old guys, am I the only Uriah Heep fan here? I've got two of their most recent concert DVD's Magic Night - 2003 and Magician's Birthday Party 2002. They feature a great Canadian singer by the name of Bernie Shaw and they ROCK! For you younger folks their peers from by-gone days were Sabbath and Deep Purple. I always liked them because they featured more ballads than the other two bands.

Kinstud and Superbob, got both your DVD's, love them both.

I saw them live once and my ears are still bleeding!

They can't really be still together??? I loved the album "Look at Yourself".

I am a Uriah Heep fan... I have their excellent "Live 73" double CD. My favorite Heep songs are Sunrise, Easy Livin, and Gypsy... problem is I like them when they were at their peak but I might check the DVD out.

I've read somewhere online that PULSE, the live Pink Floyd set from the 90's, is being remastered for DVD release. No Roger Waters, true, but the CD and VHS of this show sound amazing.

Nothing special?
If you don't enjoy the "scenery" on this one, you should have just
bought the CD.
I have An Evening witht the Dixie Chicks- Live for the Kodak Theatre and enjoy watching it as much as listening to it.

If you liked the tunes, give Alison Krauss + Union Station Live, a try.

I have to put in my vote for:

Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at the Elmocambo
Nine Inch Nails - and all that could have been
Dave Matthews Band - Listener Supported and Live at Folsom Field

I'm interested in seeing the new MetallicA movie, but I think it's more of a documentary...

AC/DC Live at Donington - You can really shake the house down with this one,

Target in Grand Forks had this one on sale for $9.99 a few weeks ago.
Great price compared to the $22.00 CAN + Taxes I paid at FS Christmas 03.
