Watched Batman Begins this weekend.

It's been a long time since I truly enjoyed a really good movie! Great character development and all the different pieces of the Batman lore fell perfectly in place. But when I first saw Christian Bale in the Batman outfit, I almost crap my pants. Holy scary Batman, batman!! Not your cheesy superhuman hero. He's human and has flaws. But man, he's one scary beast in that costume.

And the title of the movie only shows up at the end of the movie: "Batman Begins" after showing a big spoilers of a potential sequel. Ya, I think we'll get more and I am looking forward to it.

I also watched Batman Begins on the weekend. Christopher Nolan is a genius. Great film. And this is from someone who's never had any interest in watching the previous Batman films. I agree with cyclocommuter about the sound. My sub had quite a workout.

This is Wonderland - S1 --- Lawyers and "lower court" courtroom drama, Canadian-style. Picked up the Season One dvd set the other day -- seems the show via tv has just started Season Three.

Fresh and relevent to 'now' stories, funny and very witty writing, with a host of good actors & acting. On the package, it states: "Law and order, without the order". Whatever, it's sure good viewing!!

Primer - A low-budget indie film about a couple of engineers who, having stumbled upon time travel, must now deal with the consequences of their discovery.

Despite a promising story and even some half-decent acting, the confusing and seemingly pointless sequence of events made the movie, overall, rather tedious to watch. :(

Just seen another Superbit DVD I bought on sale at FS. This one is Resident Evil... I enjoyed watching this movie, the PQ was very good (almost equal to the best HD) but even better was the sound. Towards the end just before they destroyed the hive computer, it was talking (using the girl's voice) and the sound was coming from directly above (ceiling).

Another DVD where I recall I heard the sound being projected directly above the listening area was Das Boot (also Superbit) where I could hear the hunter destroyers patrolling directly above.

Batman Begins was a great movie, but I was very disappointed with the DVD. It didn't have any extras at all. Now that I have a new TV, I'm just watching all of my old movies over again.

The entire 2nd disc is full of extras.

I must have a different version because it only has 1 disk and the packaging lists no extra features. I got ripped off.

The 2 DVD Deluxe Edition also includes a comic book plus the cover has a cool hologram... Futureshop was selling this for the same price (21.99) as the Standard Edition (1 dvd) on the day it was first released... go figure.

Mine was the same as Skidz reports ..... no hologram, but 2 dvd deluxe edition, w/comic book, etc. At Wal-Mart, it was priced below $20 on the day of release.

Millions -- This is a fantastical fable about two young British brothers who suddenly find themselves very rich when a duffel bag of money literally falls from the sky; one of them is very pragmatic and practical as to how to deal with their newfound wealth, while the other, guided by his imaginings of various saints, is a little more idealistic. Who knew the director of Trainspotting, Danny Boyle, could make a fun, sweet family film?

Star Wars III - Got halfway through it last night. At least this one's story is a little better. On the movie front, it has to be the most realistic SW's, in terms of blending digital and live-action. It looks great. It sounds great too. My sub and surrounds got a great workout last night, and I've still got an hour of movie to watch. I can't wait until tonight!

And what's with everyone getting their hands cut off? Anakin, Luke, Windu, Grievous...

Office Space - It had been awhile since I saw this, and I only owned it on VHS, so it was worth the wait. I love this movie. By far the part that had me laughing the most was when Peter was in the car with Joanna, freaking out because she slept with Lumbergh, and as shes getting out of the car, he screams "SAY HI TO LUMBERGH FOR ME!"
