The 2700 will need a DP adapter I believe, it will also not pick up all the TP's off 82, as they are 8PSK and the 2700 cannot deal with that.

I would suggest, using the 6131 for aiming and cover the 82 side of the LNBF with some kitchen foil, then peak the signal on 91 and that should be it. Do not forget to set the skew before doint any aiming.

Thanks Pinza. Although I do get programming on my 2700....what about the fact that the two outputs off the back on the right side don't work.

Well if they don't work, I would suggest you have a defective LNBF.

With that combination of receivers, I would try to replace it with a DPP Twin.

I don't know if these high winds have affected my dish or what...anyways....my acquiring signal will not get past 0 of 5...yet....when I go to point dish option,I show signal of 75 on both 82 and 91 under the "tuner input" #2 and no signal with tuner input #1...then when I go to installation summary,it shows both sat. inputs are good as well as both sw21 switches....however,when I do the check switch test,I get.."warning"..test has found you have fewer sats. than previously detected.....any suggestions...thanx,IB:).....I got TV for a couple of minutes, then went back to acquiring signal...must be the wind, even though I'm still getting 74% signal....

nope...no obstructions....just cannot understand why it's "acquiring signal",when I'm showing 75 to 80% signal strength...I'll get up on the roof tomorrow and check things out....argghh...lol

Hi,

I'm having the toughest time connecting to both 82 and 91 Simultaneously. I have been able to do both separately but where i point the dish to do so is quit a bit apart.

Currently i'm connected 100% to 82. i listened over my phone to make sure i didn't lose the signal while i moved the dish looking for 91. I have a sat finder to help but the highest signal quality will not allow me to find 91 while still connected to 82.

Does anyone have any tricks? Should it be this tough? I have verified that my LNBS and cables are all working. i've also taken the switch out of the loop and tried that way. Any other advise would really be appreciated

Thanks

If you follow the basics, it should be pretty easy.

Set the Skew.
Connect from 91 LNBF to receiver.
Peak Signal.
Add 82 LNBF.
Add switch.

That should be it.

OK..have decided to hook uip a 2nd TV with my 622 set up....right now I have the 2-SW21's...with each going to back of IRD....what's simplest way to hook up to my 2nd TV which is one floor up and 50 feet away....don't want to start cutting holes if it's not feasible...lol....can I just run co-ax cable ?...my second TV is std def....15 years old, with co-ax and composite connects on back....thanx,IB:)

The 622 is a Dual Tuner Receiver I believe, so it should have a TV2 Output, which will be coax, should be marke Home Distribution, or something, coax connector will have a Yellow centre.

Then you will have to run receiver in Single Mode and set up the Modulator in the Menu System.

Just curious what could be the cause.

I'm getting 70% max and goes up and down from 64% to 68%

If I move the dish in any direction I lose signal.

Could it be a cable issue?

P.S. even when moving around it never peaks past 70%

P.P.S I do get the INFO channel 232 and like 3 others. How do I get all the other channels back.

Thanks for any help :)

There are tree's that could be in the way. I was told the house next door has good signal. But I guess that may be the problem eh.

Just curious if the cable tips weren't properly installed, would that effect the signal?

Sounds to me like the receiver has also lost programming. This can be restored by going to Bells' Web Site and doing what they call "Synchronization", if that fails, you will have to call Bell so they can "re-hit" the receiver.

70% is low, depending on where you are, which you don't say, and the type of Dish, again you don't say. Old cable connectors and splices along with distance from LNBF to receiver all have a bearing on signal levels too.

ok thanks. I'm from Nova Scotia, Whycocomagh. not 100% sure what type of dish, it has a dual LNB on it but only one receiver and not HD. I'll know more later. I'm trying to help a family member hook it up.

Hi everyone!! I really need some help!! Not sure what's left to try. I have a
20" dish with a quad legacy lnb running one cable from dish to one reciever.
I cannot get signal for the life of me. I replaced my dish and from 18 to 20" and also got the new quad. Before i was running 18" dish and just 91 and had no problem. I got a H/D tv and trying to set this up but not having any luck.
Any tips would be greatly apprecited.
Thanks inadvance.
Stoich.
