Alrighty then... I have been given the 'go-ahead' to start looking at options in the TV area.

What 'we' have decided is a 42" wide screen TV. Now I am in the leaning mode towards the Palsma, and She is for the LCD variety.

What are your guys/gals recommendations towards Plasma vs LCD

As well what are your experiences with what manufacturer will be best to purchase from?

Thanks to all in advance!

I believe that burn in is still an issue with most plasma TVs. Seen a few DLP and LCD RPTVs (Samsung vs. Sony)....prefer DLP over LCD since it appears to be more film like to my eyes. I might be biased since I have the Infocus X1 DLP front projector. Have been particular fond of the new Samsung DLP models lately. Panasonic also makes DLP projectors.

Check out the Digital Home FAQ on "Types of HDTV". I assume you're talking about "flat panel" LCDs, not RPTVs as DavidY discussed above. They are pretty expensive...
