has anybody heard when they are going to bring out the phone app so you can set the recording when your out. messages? what me messages i have never received one in my in box

Also, check for the little envelope at the bottom left corner of your screen when you are in the guide or just go to the 'Messages' section in the menu.

Has there been any discussion anywhere on possibly having a section in the menu that lists the 6 tuners and what channels they are on?

I'd love to see that in a future update.

I have had 2 Gateway reboots today. I was watching a recording......you know how it goes.

Having major issues tonight with not being able to play recordings. Actually, now I can't even play live TV. I have rebooted both the Portal and Gateway once already late this afternoon when I was having the same issue and now it has happened again. I can see all my recordings and select any of them I want but then all that happens is a black screen appears. If I press 'Pause', the time bar at the bottom shows up but it is missing the yellow part in the middle. This is really annoying.

Finally, a full reboot of both Portal and Gateway again has the Live TV back. I don't want to try a recording for fear it will mess up again.

Happened to me a couple times again last night as well. *sad face*

Jetranger, I've been having the same thing happening a lot lately, several times on saturday. Sometimes using the diagnostic menu and rebooting the gatway fixes it, other times not. About 50% of the time, going into a different show and playing it, then coming back to the original problem show "fixes" it.

Also hitting play and just waiting works to, sometimes as long as 5 minutes and the show will start playing, other times, a few presses of ffwd and rew seems to cure it.

Ya, earlier in the week all I had to do was 'Stop' playback and press 'Play' again and it would play normally. Last night it was doing nothing other than showing the recordings list. When I tried to go to live TV it wouldn't even work. It has been OK today but it was a real mess before.

One of my 2 portals was updated to 7.0.3.28X5R-P349003 this morning. My gateway is not updated.

Gateway decided to not record Mad Men or the Borgias last night, 2nd week in a row for Mad Men.

This gateway is asking to get thrown against the wall soon :mad:

K it did record, just had to reset the gateway as it was deciding to hide my recordings one by one randomly.
Saw Veep on there last night, and was there 20 mins ago and go to watch it now and it's gone....the gateway almost went against the wall but i tried plugging it back in first and that worked so Yay for that.

This system is nice and all but really fustrating with it's headaches

My Gateway and 3 portals were updated to code 7.0.3xxxxxxxx overnight. The Gateway showed a message saying it had failed to update the EPG. I then rebooted everything and that message vanished. The guide now has 5 rows of info with what seems like larger text. I may be mistaken here as I never really gave the guide much scrutiny prior to this code release. I cant see any improvement in PQ, connected via HDMI. Channel changes and guide selection does seem slightly faster, accessing thePVR list and recorded programs about the same. Overall the system seems more responsive, after having it turned on for a couple of hours it has not rebooted or dropped audio. Yet. Cheers.

Both of my portals were also updated this morning. I'm in Vancouver. The grid guide still loads rather slowly when the "C" button is first pushed, but it cycles from page to page a lot quicker than it did with the previous release.

Channel changes are only quicker if you have one selected resolution. I prefer the "native" type option, so I selected 1080i and 720p, and when flipping between channels with differing resolutions, the channel change time is the same as it was with the previous release.

Overall, the gateway's a little more responsive, and it appears to be a step in the right direction.

New software came thru last night 7.03 everything seems good so far. I trying to see a difference in the guide. It seems like the channel menu icons are a little bit more clear/ ledgible. Time will tell.

Gateway and portals all updated between 2-3am in Nanaimo to 7.03.

Gateway and 2 portals updated this morning in langley...Things do seem faster and more polished however I'm a tad pissed about the "improved" 5by5 channel guide. I got the gateway for the widescreen menus showing more info, this update makes it look like the old 4:3 motorola guide. Would just like the option to have 6 lines or even 7

How do I locate the dashboard to see what firmware I have:confused:
