Was scanning along and my radio stopped on 97.5 playing a blend of classic hits/adult contemporary music.

I heard the weather for Kemptville (about an hour drive south of Ottawa) so I assume that is the target market. I'm getting a solid signal in Orleans though, so I guess the coverage is decent.

Looks like Star 97.5 launched in Kemptville on Feb. 27th. According to a Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CKKV-FM) it appears that there may be interference between this one and CIIF in Ottawa as they are both on the same frequency. Given that the station just launched this past week, time will tell whether interference is an issue.

There's no interference with CIIF, as it no longer exists. There's a real problem with WFRY though; it's a huge signal.
