: Gateway Date/Time recording

With the delay of the Daytona 500, I tried to find a way to program a recording for Monday. The closest I found was to record multiple episodes of SportCentre starting at the scheduled start of the race.

So, did I just not find that function, or is it something that should be there and isn't?

Recording at a set time on a set channel is not currently available on Gateway (same request has been made on the main Gateway thread). You have found one option to get around it. Another option would be to record whatever show is at the correct start time (Sportscentre in your case) and extend the end time as much as needed.

Except the gateway only allows 90 minutes of extension and that race usually runs ~4 hous. As it turns out the race actually took 6 hours and I had to watch it live to see the end.

The other problem with it is that if TSN2 had updated the guide (unlikely on that short notice) setting Sportscentre as the record target wouldn't have worked, as it would not have been on. At least that's how it appears to work.

At least I know it's not just me! ;-)

Ya, it was a real mess to try and record when I had to go out in the middle of the 'delay'. I lost a huge chunk of what they did to repair the track for some reason. I guess the buffer was shortened by other recordings taking place at their regular times.

I really hope they add the ability to set time/date/channel recordings and soon.
