I had purchased a Harmony 880 remote as well and I wasn't able to get it working at all with my 6100.

Then when I was ready to return it and shop for another type of multi remote that had RF, Staples had the deal for a Harmony 659 which was also MUCH cheaper then the 880. I really wanted a Harmony so I decided to try that one.

I returned the 880 and got the 659, did not have any issues with my 6100, i configured it and it was working great, been using it since december with no problems.

Maybe its a problem specific with the 880.

:o Hey all, I have the Harmony 880 remote, just got it. I also have the 6100 receiver. I have been having some problems with the remote not controlling
the receiver intermittently. I have set the remote address to 1, and the remote can control the receiver, however on several occasions I have to press the buttons repeatedly to operate it. The remote works fantastic with my TV and DVD player, its just the receiver that has the problems. I know that the remove is IR and the receiver is UHF. Is there a setting for the receiver so that it only sees IR? Any assistance would be great.:o
You can try to set the Harmony Delay times a little higher for the receiver. This will send the signal to the receiver for a longer interval. I'm at work and can't get to the website to find where it is exactly in the menu. How are the remote batteries? Mine Harmony starts screwing up when the batteries start to run down.
FYI, I had to change the remote address when my neighbor got a UHF Bell receiver. I think there was 6 addresses to choose from on the Harmony website. It was a trial and error affair as the Harmony website didn't have the codes numbered like the receiver.

The 6100 receiver has a "teach remote" feature. I think that while the receiver is in its "teach remote" mode, each time you press a button on the UHF remote the receiver will emit the IR command equivalent through its IR blaster. I haven't tried it so I don't know how well it works.

Dave

How do you get the 6100 remote into "teach" mode?

Thanks
