Winnipeg musician Sean Quigley is winning praise for a new video, posted to YouTube, featuring a fierce rendition of the traditional Christmas song Little Drummer Boy.

The video was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday and soared from an initial viewing number of around 4,000 to over 41,000 views, or hits, in less than a day.

Up to 220,000+ views now.

I would crawl across a floor of broken glass in my bare bottom to turn off any rendition of Little Drummer Boy. Rap a rap a rap a.... No humbug here but that melody? gets my blood a-boiling. :mad:

That's not what I was saying. This member clearly doesn't like the original song, so I felt it unnecessary that he make negative comments about an otherwise positive and heartwarming story that seems to have captured the hearts of people across Canada and abroad. If he has issues with the melody to Little Drummer Boy, this probably isn't the best place to voice that opinion. I mean, if he hates the song so much in the first place, why even bother watching the video? It's not like it would change his view of the song.

The thing that caught my attention(in the CBC News interview) was when the reporter asked him what the vid was about, he said " I just wanted people to remember Christmas isn't about Santa or giving presents, but about the birth of Christ."

Although I'm not a religious person and don't believe in Jesus or God, I found it moving he was thinking of this.
