What's the deal with the Error: Badly formed request when highlighting VOD on the Shaw Gateway menu? It was like this after the install and they re-provisioned the gateway. It was good for a couple days and now it's back to saying that error.

I had that problem and was advised by tech support to try ordering a show from the VOD online website. I did and it has been working for me for about a week now. They also said it is a known issue and they are working on it.

Now, after 36 hours or so, the VOD error - badly formed request is back. I did what shellhead said and it worked for a while and now it's back. If this is a "known problem"", why am I, and maybe 1 or 2 people speaking out about this error? Anybody else chiming in with their thoughts, or I am thinking it's a hardware issue?

I have this issue AGAIN today. It's happened many times and I have had techs out twice and everything has been recabled and just noticed the error again today. Just tried the order online thing and low and behold it works. In the meantime I have been sitting on hold with Shaw for about 75 min so far awaiting a tech

This particular problem is not in the Gateway but in Shaw's back end billing system. They are well aware of it and it is taking longer than they expected to get it fixed so I guess you just have to be a little more patient. That or perhaps you can call Shaw and ask for a free movie or two for your trouble?

I just got gateway installed on Saturday, I should have all the updates. I'm getting this error... should I be or should it be fixed?

It looks like mine has is now 100%. It's been working consistently for 3 - 4 weeks now. Not sure if they fixed it internally, then made a permanenty fix on the new IS2+ update.

One thing though, I still cannot order HD on the iPhone shaw VOD app.. It's greyed out. No problem ordering on the gateway though.

it's now working for me too, I didn't do anything differently and didn't have a tech visit so I guess they fixed it on their end.
