Hi all,
I am looking at getting media streamer with HDMI out for my parents to connect to their new big screen tv. While I've found several that look to do the trick for streaming various movie and tv files from an attached external Hard drive, I'm also looking for one that has a internet browser. This would not only allow my folks to surf the net on a bigger screen, but also allow my dad to get live sports from Europe via assorted websites. Likely means browser needs to have flash capability. Any suggestions? I think Boxee Box does all this, but wondered if there are any others I'm missing.
Cheers,
Al.

Boxee Box does do that, plus it has a keyboard on the remote, which makes typing easier.

The Pivos Aios looks to be a promising unit

and can be had for about $100

I'm looking for something like this that does DLNA and Netflix, kind of like the PS3 but cheaper and smaller. hehe.... Any recommendations?

The Pivos definitely looks like an option, but despite some research, I still haven't figured out if the web browser will play flash content, as that's what most of my dad's websites use to stream live sports content.

looking for another media player so after seeing this thread went to the Pivos forum. Realize fairly new but seems a bit buggy.

Another vote for Boxee Box.
great unit, and my wife who is the biggest technophobe loves it and navigates through the many options without issue

I was looking for the same then read about wiimc.org and saved myself
a few hundred by hacking my rather unused wii into a perfectly good
media centre.
+1 for the BB, the more I use it the more I'm impressed
