I am getting sound stops for every chnannel had to reboot three times in 3 days. I hear you about WAF. She is pissed. :o

It's funny the different experiences people are having. I've had my Gateway for a month, no stuttering, no more sound dropouts that I got with the Moto box(minimal) and haven't had to do a single reboot. As far as the wiring goes my cable box outside is a mess. It's packed so tight that its closed with zap straps. The only issue I have is grid guide, which I don't even use anymore. I guess I just got lucky for a change.

So after searching through the forum I noticed that many have Harmony 880s and Harmony Ones...I went to the link that has JetRangers setup which is great but don't see what model # people have used in the Harmony software to get the thing to come up.

I'm trying to set up my stuff before Shaw gets here to install my Gateway system and I want to be able to test Everything before the tech leaves!

Is there a manual for the Arris boxes or a model number?

The only recent problem is a one minute recordings now and again. After six months I am still don't regret getting gateway installed. Sorry to hear about the problems of others in the forum.

After a really rocky start, I am now enamoured with the Gateway and what it promises in the future (come on Shaw, get off the john and start enabling your promises!}. I wouldn't go back, the ability to view any recording from any TV with a Portal is a giant plus and with up to 6.5 TB (I have 4.5 TB) of recording space it is really hard to beat!

I used device "Arris MP2000" for my Harmony config. I had a quick look at the Shaw Cable device in the Harmony software, but it looked odd, and seemed to be missing things.

Beyond the default config, I changed the Up Arrow and Down Arrow to ChapterNext and ChapterPrev, and added a couple of buttons (PVR, Live) to the touchscreen (I have Harmony Ones, but other remotes should have soft buttons that can be used.)

I think that was all I changed specific to the portal. I don't remember if I configured the Exit button to "Zoom", or if it was in the default config.

One other thing to note is that I did set the remote to turn on and off the portal, rather than saying there are no power buttons. There is a "Power Toggle" command that doesn't really do anything, but it wakes the Portal up from the screen saver. When I had "no power buttons" specified, sometimes when I turned on the TV, the screen saver would be on and need to be cleared.

It looks like that's the one to use now. It's nice that it's been added to the Harmony database.

I tried setting 1080P, 1080/24 works fine, but 1080/30 won't show anything when it switches on the setup screen, I have to wait for it to switch back on its own. Has anyone else run into this? I'm running a Panasonic 54G20 plasma.

I'm really having a hard time tonight now that I'm actually sittin down and trying to use this thing. I can't get VOD to play, the only options getting into them are add to wish list, lock, and close. Somehow I got one to work, stopped it, and now I don't have the play option again, just lock and close. It even shows that it expires in 24 hours. This goes for all VOD I look at.

@FenderF4i - mine works fine on both, I assume your TV won't handle it.... As far as the VOD is concerned, I would give shaw tech support a call... may need to "flick" a switch...

I am having the same issue as FenderF4i. My VOD won't allow me to play anything either, only offers the options to wishlist, lock, or exit. I called tech support, and they told me they'd work on it and call me back tomorrow with a solution.

Let us know what they figure out jag17, it's kind of annoying that I had time I watch some shows last night, then couldn't because of the bug!

So if my TV can only handle 1080P/24, what impact will that have on the content I can watch in 1080P? Is everything available at the moment 24hz, or is there already content available in 30?

Also, here is what I'm seeing with the VOD. This is the one that I was somehow able to rent at one moment for no reason at all. Now it won't allow me back into it!

When you see that, by the expiry date...It looks like you have already ordered it.

Go to "My orders" and see if it is there..

Yes, at one point, after going in and out and around menus for 5 minutes, the option to order it finally appeared out of nowhere, so I did that. I watched a few minutes, then stopped it. Now, as the picture shows, there is no option to start watching it again, even though I had ordered it, and there is no option in any other VOD title to order those either, just like it was before I was suddenly able to order this one out of thin air.

I too have noticed the no "order" button..
For me it was a Dexter episode, I just assumed it meant that it wasn't available yet.
But now that I think about it, I guess that doesn't make any sense at all, why have it listed when you can't order it..(I just put it into my wish list)

I'll re-check tonight, and if its not proper I'll send the Shaw twitter group a help request.
If I were you I would do that now..

I think Dexter is on MC or HBO and you need to be subscribed to those to order the corresponding VOD. The same thing happened to me with Portlandia which is on Superchannel which I don't get so the only option I was given was to add to my wish list.

I have Super Channel and Movie Central, couldn't order the CTV/Global VOD's either.

I talked to support this morning, she said if a power cycle doesn't help, I'll need a service tech to come take a look. I pointed her to this thread also, and showed her that other people have problems.

I power cycled 2 days ago, I'll try when I get home to see if that fixes it. Maybe that's all it needs.
