: NHL Center Ice 2011-12 Question
mikeswcoast2004 2011-09-19, 04:58 PM Not sure where to post, but a quick question: Anyone know if there'll be a free preview of NHL Center Ice on Bell this time around? (Unrelated question for a separate thread: there was no free preview of NFL Sunday Ticket in the first week of the season.)
wingman75 2011-09-20, 09:36 AM There are usually 2 or 3 free preview periods throughout the season. The first one is at the beginning of the season, the next is just before they do the half-season price reduction... and there may be one other, not sure.
If there is no free-preview I would be shocked. Just an FYI that many pre-season games are shown on CI. Last nights Leafs vs Sens game was, and I expect other regionally broadcasted games will be as well.

Person I talked to last nite indicated free preview until a date in Oct which I've forgotten. Went to 188 just to check out the cost but when I clicked on Centre ice it automatically got ordered. When I called I was more interested in making sure they cancelled the order that I didn't get what he said were the dates. I plan to wait until they drop the price (normally) after the season is underway. No price advantage in being an early bird.
cyclist44 2011-09-20, 07:41 PM Lets hope that they don't start the free preview until the regular season starts. Who really cares about the pre-season anyway.

wingman75 2011-10-11, 03:27 PM Anyone know if the NHL Gamecenter Live will be included with CenterIce this season? In the past Bell has provided a code that enabled us to get the NHL Gamecenter Live for free... hoping that is still the case? Just asking here in case someone has already checked into this...
Thanks
VuMax 2011-10-11, 03:57 PM Bell sent a letter a couple of weeks ago to previous Center Ice subscribers in which it states Gamecenter Live will be included again. Someone posted that the codes are now available on the Bell website.

wingman75 2011-10-12, 08:18 AM Thanks 'Kootenay'. I was going to bell.ca/tvonline... Once I logged in my code was there!
Perhaps I should have read that letter
SnooPac 2011-10-12, 08:00 PM I called bell to ask them where to get the code lats week (I forgot the nhlonline site from last year). Anyway, the csr told me that ppl who have ordered NHL ci in the past will continue to receive NHL gc account free. But new ci customers do not get that free gc offer.
StickyDragon 2011-10-13, 11:17 AM I see all the "free center ice preview" channels and whenever I click on them it's just a black screen. Does this actually work for anyone? There was 3 games on last night. 2 of the games were on TSN/TSN2 and the other was nowhere to be seen. None of these 3 games were playing on center ice either.
DSgamby 2011-10-13, 11:26 AM The other game was not shown on CI in Canada as there was no TV station that showed the game. CI in the US showed the game but it was just the Jumbotron feed.
TSN/TSN2 games won't be on CI.
gcdangerfield 2011-10-13, 11:47 AM Does anyone know if there is a Centre Ice schedule published with all games listed?
I scrolled through the Bell guide for Saturday night and I don't see the Washington/Ottawa game listed. It's listed on NHL.com as being on CBC and local Washington station, so why is it not listed in the guide?
thanks
DSgamby 2011-10-13, 12:17 PM It is not on the list because it is on CBC.
Does Bell show CBC games for out of market games? Shaw does not.
gcdangerfield 2011-10-13, 12:41 PM I'm pretty sure last year I got some out of market CBC games. I'm an Ottawa fan living in Toronto, and when Saturday CBC games for Ottawa were on in the Ottawa region, I thought they were on Centre Ice as well for the Toronto region.
I could be wrong, but that's what I remember.
wingman75 2011-10-13, 03:44 PM CI is for out of market games ONLY! So this excludes any games shown on national broadcasts (CBC, TSN, TSN2) and local channels (regional TSN & regional SN).
There never has been a CBC broadcast on CI (on Bell) as it would circumvent the rules. And lets be clear here, these are NHL not Bell rules.
Interceptor 2011-10-14, 09:17 AM The Washington-Ottawa game is on channel 208, CBC ottawa. There are 11 SD CBC stations on Bell and 3 HD CBC stations to find your game.
moosefan 2011-10-16, 07:57 AM I guess still no MSG HD games on NHL CI again this season on Bell...Do other providers have the MSG HD? I noticed that the HD feed is on GameCentre if I want to watch it online.
wingman75 2011-10-17, 02:15 PM Loved it this past Saturday. CBC was showing 3 different games in HD! Leafs, Habs and Jets. Nice. Not a Sens fan, but I do wish there was an HD Ottawa channel (on Bell).
Nervous for tonight, Leafs game on SNO, so CI for me. But it is also on RIS... hoping I still get the CI feed and not forced to watch the game in French.
bodybreak 2011-10-23, 11:28 PM Any game shown in French on RDS/RIS will also be shown in English on Centre Ice (as long as there is an English network covering the game).
