Haven't been monitoring TVO lately, but given it's power level, I'd be surprised to lose reception unless you turn significantly away from it.
I'm receiving it from the side and it's still 90% power level on my HRHR (I've only ever seen higher on extreme tropo days)

Sounds more like maintenance reducing power level than an issue with your antenna.

Hi all,

I contacted TVO about their program data, I can see program name and description in TSReader but my TV's don't show anything except "No Program Information". This was their response.

Thank you for contacting TVO.

Our Distribution Services and Master Control departments reported that you should be able to see program information. I would recommend rescanning to see if that solves the problem for you. If the issue persists, please contact us again at asktvo@tvo.org including your phone number so that we may put you in touch with one of our transmitter technicians.

Regards,

Alex
Customer Relations

Maybe we can get a few more people to contact them so we can get this fixed.

TVO crashes 1 of my 3 computer tuners also.

as of 12:50 PM TVO is now broadcasting in 480i 4x3 in Ottawa. First the signal dropped then was sound only and when the picture came back it was 480i rather than the 1080i it has been for the last two months. I take it they are having problems of some kind with the 1080i fiber link to Ottawa.

Edit: 480i 4x3 picture on my samsung and sharp TVs but my CM7000PAL only picks up the sound, no picture at all, and no guide data on TVs or CM700PAL
:( I hope this is fixed soon.

TVO in Ottawa is back to normal now at 1080i with full guide again. Would be interesting to find out what caused the problem earlier, at least it was fixed quickly :)

Did your tuner indicate the received signal was 480i? Or was the programming merely displayed in 480i?!

it was my tuners indicating they were receiving a 480i signal.

If it's any consolation, the programming on the Toronto transmitter--while showing 1080i--was in SD 480i as well.

TVO is back to 480i again in Ottawa with no guide data, and and my cm7000pal only picks up the audio. This is the same issue I posted about in post 47.

It seems like I lost TVO 19-1 this afternoon and it's still off now. Anyone else having problems. It been fine for weeks for me.

It's coming in fine here, like normal.

Still no TVO all weekend long. What I found out was that I'm getting a black screen but I'm still getting a Signal of 85 and a SNR of 31. So there is something there. Am I the only person in the GTA that is seeing this. TVO is a 3 min walk from my work, I may pay a visit to them and complain in person.

Don't get upset with TVO. TVO is working fine in the GTA. Your problem is with your own set-up. If you must, just tell TVO about the symptoms and tell them what kind of tuner and antenna you have.

TVO Toronto has never had their PSIP station ID set correctly. My older Samsung 151 boxes will briefly say no signal than 5 seconds of black then picture comes in .No station info at all.

It was working fine on Friday morning, and disappeared on Friday afternoon. My tuner is on my Tivo Premiere and nothing changed with my setup. All other channels are fine. Also I'm still running the old software on my Tivo so that didn't change either.

It very strange and I'm having a hard to as to where the problem can be.

I'm using a CS2 direct to the Tivo, no pre-amp or distro amp.

johnnyzee99, could the firmware on your Tivo have been updated on Friday? If so the upgrade may have a change that makes it not like TVO's broadcast.

No the firmware hasn't changed. I've been checking that all weekend long, I'm at 14.8c still.

I normally would care about this, but it's the only channel that I catch that the kids love. All there shows are on there.

I hear you on that one. If I lost TVO, there would be a revolt from the ground up in my house as well. ;)

Well, the first thing I going to try is re-scan the channels on the Tivo, hopefully that will fix the issue.

The revolt is pending... ;)

Me too. And my Premiere tunes 19-1 perfectly. Just checked it a moment ago.
