Sometimes the real reason is either not known to the technical department, or is known and not publicly shareable.

You give Rogers a lot of credit. My cynical side is inclined to believe they'd rather sell people a cable subscription.

which could be included in "not publicly shareable", don't you think?
(I have no special inside information, but I can be just as cynical as the next guy.

Anyone else having issues this morning with city and omni1? SQ on both channels have dropped instantly from 100% to 0 - 7% with no changes to my setup. Are they still testing?

Seems fine now. Strength ~75%, Quality 90-100% (far better than noted yesterday :p)

bparanoid and everyone else? It's 2:41 right now and city has dropped down to 7% again. I'm worried I dammaged my antenna during maintenance (but it was working around noon just fine). Can anyone else confirm the lowered signal? I mean city on 31 out of Woodstock.

micah... not sure if you are still having problems, but from Cambridge, I can tune in to city-tv on 31 out of Woodstock. Signal looks good to me.

The first week of Sept I received all the stations great. The last few days I've lost 6.1 global Paris, 13.1 CTV Kitchener and 31.1 City from Woodstock all about the same time/date. I thought too it was me but now I'm thinking it's the stations. CITY apparently is in transition to a new tower in October, Global 6.1 Paris is using an old TVO transmitter apparently and are having prblems with it and I don't know what CTV Kitcheners 13. problem is. Now that Ive found that all out I'll stop fiddling with my system for a few days and see what happens. Good luck to all.

Since a few days after the transition in Scarborough, no TVO, Omni1, CityTV. What's happening? CityTV used to be the most reliable signal.

TVO and CityTV were very reliable for a few days after the transition, and now they're consistantly 'no signal', OMNI1 has never worked.

Scarborough here too, OMNI is gone for me since the last few days (seemed to be good right after the transition, had it lock at 50% for a second today but it's otherwise gone. CityTV and TVO are good though.

OMNI1 has great signal strength for me, but horrible signal quality (therefore no lock).

Hopefully these issues will be resolved when they get moved up to the CN tower.

I'm between Milton and Guelph. Before the switch to digital, citytv and omni1/2 were fuzzy on my tv. Omni1 was the best, then Citytv, then Omni2 (citytv and omni2 were almost/basically unwatchable). After the switch to digital, I very rarely get omni1/2 and citytv anymore, and the rare times I do get it the signal is very weak. I like these channels, so I'm looking forward to this move to the CN tower.

On the Industry Canada site for DTV is say the OMNI's and CITY Toronto are low power till end of the year. Anyone know why?

They are broadcasting from the top of First Canadian Place at lower power than they will when they move back to the CN tower. Lower power and lower height will equal poorer reception.

Anyone experiencing break ups on City Toronto? Started for me last night and continues today. I have full signal strength but I am getting ongoing minor break ups every minute or so. I am located in Markham.
