^^^not quite sure what you are trying to say. I don't think anything has changed with those transmitters since the shutdown and the DTV patterns are as good if not better than the analog ones.

CJMT/CFMT LONDON are receivable in SE Cambridge? Are you sure about that?! I get both stations from Toronto here in Kitchener, but not the London stations.

Just to clarify, so this doesn't get confusing for those not keeping track (I know I had to do a double take here).

TOTVBuff is talking about reliably receiving CFMT-DT-1 (London) on RF 48, CJMT-DT-1 (London) on RF 20, and CITY-DT-2 (Woodstock) on RF 31 at his location in S.E. Cambridge.

That is in comparison to Jase88 who is talking about reliably receiving CITY-DT (Toronto - CN Tower) on RF 44, CFMT-DT (Toronto - CN Tower) on RF 47 and CJMT-DT (Toronto - FCP) on RF 51 at his location in Kitchener.

So same stations (CityTV, OMNI.1 and OMNI.2) but from different transmitters.

I agree, it would seem odd that you both are getting different results since you are so close to each other, with HWY 401 of course being the divide. Perhaps Jase88 should consider rotating his antenna to the S.W. where as TOTVBuff may want to consider pointing to the N.E.

We also know what Jass88 setup is, but perhaps TOTVBuff can allude to his. Maybe its differences there that are playing a factor.

Omni1 RF 48 in London uses a virtual channel number of 69.1.

Proposed CFMT/CITY London map.

Cambridge is too far away from CFMT London for the signal to be reliable. (well beyond the lines according to the map).

Does anyone have a contact a contact a Rogers, who can find out what's going on with rolling out PSIP to all of its stations?

In the Vancouver area, CKVU-DT (City) and CHNM-DT (OMNI) are now the only two major stations/networks in this market that do not have program guides. They also continue to show the incorrect time.

^^^I assume you mean EPG. PSIP is the wrapper that the includes the EPG among other things. All stations have PSIP, it is just the EPG is often empty.

My contact at Rogers says it should be working, so he will have someone there look into it.

CKVU-DT's time and EPG are now working properly

Not the case for CHNM-DT's time and EPG

Anyone not receiving OMNI 2 the past few days? Perhaps the move to the CN Tower is in progress? Just wondering.

OMNI.2 was in low power on Monday here in Ottawa due to a series of power glitches, but was apparently back on Tuesday (I didn't verify it until last night). It must be a local Toronto thing and not a network thing. Check the Toronto thread.

Yes, I was referring to the Toronto transmitter for OMNI 2, and the move from rf51 on FCP to rf40 on the CN Tower. CITY-TV and OMNI 1 are already broadcasting from the latter.

OMNI 1, has no EPG Information, Just says OMNI1HD. And all the programming is in SD, Broadcast in HD. The other OMNI2 Channel is Fine. Watching OMNI2 last night, I can see the tower from my house and it was pixilating... I wonder why.

Omni1 London is still broadcasting an sd signal in hd. Even David Lettermen last night was an sd small screen picture although if you press info it says it is 1080i. Could someone with a contact at rogers inform them of the problem? Thanks.

OTA-London, I also sent a message to my contact and he replied with the following:

The SD feed is inserted when the HD feed to the transmitter is interrupted.

The situation should be restored now.

The response I got back:

We’ve experienced some intermittent outages on the fibre program feed, which, for now, fail over to a 4:3 SD feed.

Omni 69.1 seems to be in full HD once again. Thank you to all with contacts. It makes me wonder, though, how well some transmissions are monitored.

Thanks again.
