Your receiver will always show the native HD format of the network, even when the programming is not HD.

Networks upconvert everything for transmission to local stations.

Most, but not all. There is only 1 new system, all stations are on it for kids shows until the late afternoon. It looks okay most of the time but there still are significant problems to address.

I see CBC is back to SD in the afternoon slot today in Windsor.

Still no EPG info though...

My wife is getting anxious about this, especially those days that Coronation Street gets moved around. I'm getting the impression EPG data is way down the "to do" list.

I think I'm going to stop reading this thread and get the status by checking my wife's blood pressure. ;)

I didn't notice any errors last night, though I didn't exactly pay super close attention.
I guess the 'blips' last week were just super-strong tropo. (and I mean super strong to knock out CBLT :p)

Watched a recording from last night, quite a few breakups :(

and tropo was a big zero according to Hepburn's site.
Didn't notice issues tonight watching Mercer & 22 Minutes, so I dunno.

The blips do occur during Coronation Street OTA and via Cogeco cable. Source: CBC Toronto
Since I record the cable feed as a backup, I get to see both. The 18:30 ET is cable, the 00:00 is OTA. Unfortunately I can't record both simultaneously to do a side by side comparison.

Sure wish I had a spectrum analyzer though..... :-)

I just watched the full Toronto off air recording of yesterday's Coronation Street. Around 7:26 there was 15 seconds of black at the end of the commercial break due to a server problem otherwise the show was flawless. No "blips" or breakup of any kind.

I had a chat with Cogeco staff this morning. They have no open trouble tickets nor recent complaints regarding Toronto HD...

After posting that Mercer/22mins was fine, I noticed quite a few breakups on Debaters :(

Considering the strength of the station, it may be that I'm actually getting a bit of overload for the first time, ever.. other than that, I have no idea what it could be.

EPG is back for CBFT-DT Montréal, but not for CBMT-DT...

Interesting development regarding Montréal. Still nothing for CBLT Toronto or CBLFT Toronto.
