I see Costco Canada has this TV for about $1500 CDN (maybe $1599) and when I look for info on it I see it still being sold in the US for about the same price but in USD.

This is quite unusual for things to be the same price in CDN as in USD.

Anyone know anything about this TV?

On the Philips web page it is not listed, meaing it is last year's model, or it is so new it is not on their web page.

They also have the 30" Phillips 30PW8402 for $899.

It looks like it is very similar to the 34PW850H but has PIP. Specs look decent.

Did someone try out the Philips 34PW862H ?

I am to buy one but I would greatly appreciate getting some feedback from a user.

Thanks

I have the Philips 30W9819, which is last years model. Its worked great for me, had it for 6 months and I've had no problems.

I can get this tv for around 600.00. It's for my mom and she will be watching mostly standard def or dvd's. Is there anyone that has this set and can comment on how if handles SD?
