Denon DVD-910 [Archive] - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I have been considering this DVD player.Can anyone advise their experience with this player?Is it a good or reasonable and reliable player?Please advise,thanks :(

My opinion seems to differ from others but here you go:

The 910 and even 1200 are junk. Way overpriced, slow response times, slow layer changes, various problems like occassionally no audio or no video and the odd lock up. I've had both and I experienced problems with both so that is why I no longer have a Denon DVD player. My $200 Toshiba SD4900, in my opinion, is superior in every way to the $600-$700 Denon 1200 (which is based on the 900/910). I've heard from different people that sell Denon products that unless you want to spend $1000 on a Denon DVD player, get something else.

My Toshiba on the other hand is cheap, very fast response times, very fast layer changes (I've never seen a pause since I've had it), has never locked up, and to me, the picture looks crisper and more vibrant than the Denon. Also, although I haven't seen this verified anywhere, I cannot see any evidence of the chroma bug so Toshiba may have fixed it.
