Hmm, I always find people hate when you talk about show inconsistencies. But I totally agree. I like when characters do what their character would do, and I like for them to react to situations how someone would actually react.

For the plot of this show, I suspect the producers have a longterm outlook. Or if they didn't before, they better have thought it through now that the show is a hit.

The graphic novels have been going for a while, so the producers have material to draw on. That should be a huge help, given the general lack of creativity demonstrated by most producers these days......

"The Walking Dead’s second season premieres Sunday, Oct. 16 at 9 ET/PT, with a 90-minute episode on AMC (and six more episodes to follow). The final six episodes of the new season will begin Feb. 12."

I might record them all before I watch any of Season 2. I will admit im not a fan of the way they are breaking up the season into 2 parts. Network shows I get as they only have 22 eps over the whole season, but cable shows should air eps 1-12 weekly.

If anyone needs to get a Walking Dead fix before the start of the season this week, there's six webisodes on the official site. The webisodes are short (only a couples minutes each except for the last one) but explain what happened to the "half zombie woman" that is shown in the original series.

TMN look like they have all of Season 1 on Sunday leading up to the premier.

The splitting up is frustrating. I think I will record and watch in Feb/March.

Not a bad first episode for the season 2....

First 45 minutes where great - last 45 were a little slow....

It was a good season premier, and was good to get a chance to PVR and re-watch some of the earlier episodes to recall what happened again. The one thing I noticed with S02EP01 was the bar was raised around the degree of gore in the series. Yes, I know it's to be expected and yes I can handle it. But there were a couple of scenes last night that I have to admit did make my stomach turn a bit (rare for me)! Those who watched will know what scenes I am talking about...

I agree.... A little more gore....but hey - it is a Zombie show... :)

I liked the season 2 premiere. The feeling of dread when they realize a hoard is coming upon them is well portrayed.

Not for the faint of heart though if you can't stomach gore.

Some of it was B movie schlockfest that made me laugh, but the zombies looked pretty good. The praying in the church was kind of silly.

A bit disappointed until the ending got my attention. Like some other series it has a lot to live up to in its second season. Not sure that it will.

Enjoyed it but agree that the sherriff praying in the church bit seemed awfully forced and silly.
And not that I would wish getting eaten by a zombie on anyone, but that stupid girl almost deserves to be left behind. First she gets out from under the vehicle before she was told it was safe to do so, then she totally ignores what she was told about staying put by the river.
The ending though, was fabulous. Really looking forward to next week.

I know how silly it sounds but my biggest pet peeve right now is that fact Rick is still wearing his uniform. There maybe a reason explained in the graphic novel or I can play armchair psychiatrist and come up with something but for now it just annoys the hell out of me.
