Its was 10 nl time 9:30 Atlantic I was susprised to see SD channel 107 showing a doc but HD channel 715 showing CFL football, is it normal for SD & HD to be airing different programing?

:) hehe...the cfl rights in Canada belonged to TSN and someone was asleep at the switch. Blame it on the holiday staff.

Because TSN have TV Rights in Canada to air the CFL, i don't think that the NFL Network can't air CFL to our area and elsewhere in Canada.

--Off Topic--
Just like SpikeTV Can't air WWE, Baywatch or other programs in Canada back in the 2000 era. and Baywatch wasn't aired at all in Canada between 2001 until Drive In Classics Air the Show in 2006. That the year that SpikeTV ended carrying Baywatch
-------------

Now left get back to topic. No CFL on NFL Network in Canada other than TSN. but i don't know why the Canada HD Feed Air it. I guess someone fell asleep during the event for giving them one free ride for HD Viewers. Welcome to Canadaland.

Just as an FYI, it is sometimes the case where the SD channel and HD channel do air different programming though. Some examples include APTN, TWN (not sure if those are available on Eastlink, but I thought I'd provide the info so that you know that this can happen.) The programme info is usually in the IPG though...

The thing with NFL Network HD is they probably don't have a dedicated HD feed for Canada at the moment. The channel was probably suppose to be blacked out during the game.

It's the same thing with Turner Classic Movies. There is a dedicated feed sent to Canada for the SD feed. The HD feed however is the US feed and when programs are not cleared for Canada on the HD feed, it should be black out.

No TWN HD on Eastlink NL systems yet but noticed APTN was different the other day, also heard Discovery HD isn't the same either.

I have seen on twitter a lot of times they talk about the us HD feeds being blocked because of TSN but when I look here they are on my screen maybe being a small community has something to do with it, Marystown is not what you would call a large town.

The current Discovery is called Discovery HD World, and for quite some time has had a schedule mostly separate from the main Discovery channel. Soon, they are supposedly going to launch an HD Simulcast of the regular Discovery channel, along with a number of other Bell Media specialty channels, this summer.
