To my surprise I tried tuning into Channel 297 tonight which used to be HereTV On Demand. A service I've had for over a year.

It's now OutTV On Demand. Some useless extension of OutTV with 2 shows and a total of about 8 episodes on it - all pathetic.

Turns out that HereTV (which are big in the US) sold their rights to the Canadian channel to OutTV - Back in April 2011! I guess I haven't tuned in for a couple months even though I've been paying $7.95 a month.

And sure enough, I go look at my cable bill and I've been charged for HereTV for April, May, and June even though the service hasn't existed! I received NO notification that it was changing!

Disappointing that HereTV did not survive in Canada - it has some great programming in the US. And it was a pretty good channel here when it first started.

More disappointing is that Roger's isn't required to notify you when a premium channel changes like that! Oh well, got my money refunded for the last 3 months after some discussions with the Roger's customer service agent.

I would take a closer look at what channels you are paying for. If you pay $8/mth for a channel that you have not watched in 3 months, maybe there are others that the amount of time you watch does not justify the cost.
